(MOIAPL)We also offer capital raising and other investment banking services such as themanagement of public offerings, private placements (including qualified institutionalplacements), rights issues, share buybacks, open offers/delistings and syndication ofdebt and equity.MOIAPL has closed 23 transactions in 2007-08 worth US$ 1.8 billion and had 18mandates in hand as at March 31, 2008.Private EquityIn 2006, our private equity subsidiary, Motilal Oswal Venture Capital Advisors PrivateLtd (MOVCAPL) was appointed as the investment manager and advisor to a privateequity fund, India Business Excellence Fund, which was launched with a target of raisingUS$100 mn.
