  2. 2. ENGL 2105 Conversational English and Basic WritingCOURSE DESCRIPTION This course is designed for collage students that are learning English as a secondlanguage. It develops the fundamental conversational language structures. Thepurpose is to lead students to communicative performances when speaking and writingas well as understanding the language in listening and reading activities. This coursepromotes vocabulary acquisition, especially that within the students’ daily life.GENERAL OBJETIVESAt the end of the course, students will:1. Apply grammar skills to convey performances2. Speak english naturally3. Develop correct English pronunciation4. Use correct intonations in the language deliverance.5. Express information and their ideas selecting the adequate vocabulary, syntax and sentence structure that conveys the correct meanings.6. Use idiomatic expressions as part of their vocabulary.7.
