  3. 3. 3 OVERVIEW InMed is a publicly listed, Vancouver-based biopharmaceutical company focused on identifying, developing and commercializing prescription drugs using non-THC cannabinoids. Core Assets Bioinformatics Database Proprietary computer-based drug/disease target screening tool Biosynthesis Proprietary cannabinoid manufacturing system Drug Development Pipeline Expedited drug development timelines, conservative clinical budget targeting high unmet medical conditions utilizing disease-specific formulations: Ø INM-750 for Epidermolysis Bullosa – An orphan paediatric disease characterized by extremely fragile skin with no current approved therapies. Potential global market revenues of ~US$1B. Ø INM-085 for Glaucoma – Aserious eye disease with a global market of >US$5B.
  4. 4. e The endocannabinoid receptor system is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the mammalian brain, throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, and in tissues and organs. This system is predisposed to interact with any member of the cannabinoid drug family. HEALING POWER OF CANNABINOIDS 4 90+ Individual Cannabinoid Chemicals THC CBD +8 80+ Cannabinoids EACH CHEMICAL AFFECTS THE HUMAN BODY Endocannabinoid Receptor System
  5. 5. BIOINFORMATICS: Proprietary Drug/Disease Targeting Tool InMed’s proprietary bioinformatics algorithm assesses the different active sites on cannabinoids and screens them against approved drug structures, disease site receptors, genetic profiles of diseases, and the involvement of proteins and chemical metabolites in disease pathways. This program then selects specific cannabinoids (or combinations thereof) that might play a role in regulating diseases. Advantages of InMed’s Bioinformatics Tool Ø Generates new therapies both quickly and effectively - significant cost and time savings in the drug discovery process. Ø Allows InMed to research pharmacological responses of ALL90+ cannabinoids. Ø Has already identified multiple therapies includingInMed’s INM-750& INM-085. 5
  6. 6. BIOSYNTHESIS: PROPRIETARY CANNABINOID MANUFACTURING Cannabinoid Genomic DNA Escherichia coli cell Benefits of Biosynthesis Enhanced Production, Purification and QC vs. current synthetic production methods Significant cost savings vs. existing growing / harvesting / extraction / purification methods Access to minor cannabinoidsthat are currently economically unfeasible to develop into drugs Increased structural integrity vs.chemical manufacturing methods Millions of diabetics worldwide use synthetic insulin produced via E.coli biosynthesis. 6
  7. 7. DRUG DEVELOPMENT: Lead Therapeutic Programs (estimated timelines) * Timelines dependant on, among other things, availability of capital. ** Potential partnership / spin-out opportunities. 8. 8. EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA INM-750 No approved treatments for EB InMed’s lead product, INM-750 has many mechanisms-of-actionin the skin to deliver symptomatic relief: Ø accelerated wound healing Ø pain reduction Ø itch reduction Ø reduce inflammation Ø antimicrobial activity INM-750 may re-establish the epidermal / dermal junction by upregulation of specific keratins in the skin, essentially reversing the disease. ~50K patients in N. America, Europe and Japan 8
  9. 9. EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA Acquisition of Scioderm by Amicus for US$847M Ø Scioderm’s sole clinical asset is ZorblisaTM , a Ph3 product in development for EB Ø Scioderm was acquired by Amicus in Sept ‘15 for US$847M (US$229M upfront, US$361M on clin/reg milestones, US$257M on sales milestones) Ø Acquisition was based on results from 42 patients in a Ph2b study Ø JP Morgan and Cowen research reports estimate peak sales for ZorblisaTM in EB of US$900M - US$1.2B Acquisition of Lotus Tissue Repair by Shire for US$174M Ø Lotus Tissue Repair had a preclinical program developing recombinant human collagen Type VII (“rC7”) as a protein replacement therapy for Dystrophic EB, a subset (~30%) of EB patients Ø In February 2013 Shire acquired Lotus Tissue Repair for a fair value consideration totalled US$174M: US$49M upfront; fair value of contingent consideration of US$125M 9
  10. 10. >US$5B worldwide market ~80M patients by 2020 GLAUCOMA: INM-085 Serious Eye Disease Leading to Blindness Dual Mechanism of Action Ø Reduces the intraocular pressure (IOP) in the affected eyes; and Ø Provide neuroprotection for the retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and other optic nerve tissues in the affected eyes. Proprietary Delivery System Ø INM-085 utilizes a proprietary 1x per day hydrogel formulation to address the major issues of non-compliance (side effects, dosing frequency and adherence). Ø Preclinical animal data showed enhanced penetration of cannabinoid molecules through the cornea and lens compared to control. 10
  11. 11. 11 INM-085 increases blood vessel diameter in pre-clinical mice model Ø Optical CoherenceTomographyscan of a mouse retina(left untreated& righttreated) showed anincreaseof bloodvesseldiameter after 30 min of application. Ø Increaseblood vessel diameter is associated with loweringof IOP. Ø Applicationof treatmentin right eye didn’t effectthe left, thus indicating local effectof INM-085andnot systemic.
