It also helps to earn more traffic to your website.  On page optimization is one of the technique used in Search engine optimization.  There are different on page factors that lead a webpage to rank higher in search engine. 1. Content of page Content is the king in search engine optimization. The content is the thing which makes your website rank higher. Your content is what people reads. So if your content is not a readable one people wont spend much time on that content . So as much as good your content is your webpage rank higher in search engines. A content can be a text, image, video. This content has two attributes it should supply a demand and should be linkable. If you are not going to make link building that means your good content is not going to rank in search engine. Linking is a very important thing in SEO.

It is accurate and concise description of a pages content.  Optimal format of a Title tag Primary keyword- Secondary keyword | Brand name.  Title length Google display the first 50-60 characters of a title tag. If it exceeds It will be hidden.  Title tag is very important in SEO. it helps search engine to understand that what your page content is all about.  Title tags gives the first impression in search engines.  Title tags are used in three key places. 1.   7. 7.  How to write a title tag? 1. Title length Your title length should be under 60 characters and it should include your keyword. 2. Don’t overdo SEO keywords. Stuffing more keywords in your tile tag will give you a bad experience. Avoid putting a list of keywords inside title page. Ex: Buy themes, best themes, cheapest themes, themes for sale. 3. Give each and every page a appropriate tile. The title tag should be a brief about the content. It understand search engine that your content is unique and valuable. 4. Give important keywords first. Put your keyword at the beginning of your title tag. It gives advantage to rank your webpage in the search engine. 5. Take advantage of your brand. If your business is a well know brand to customers. Include your brand name in title tag. It also take an advantage to rank your webpage in the search engine.
  8. 8. Meta description  A meta description is a snippet which is on the limit of 155 characters which tells about a particular webpage. Meta description is a short description about the content of the webpage. Search engines show the meta description in search results mostly when the searched-for phrase is within the description, so optimizing the meta description is crucial for on-page SEO

Alt tags will be displayed in place of an image if an image file cannot be loaded.  3. Alt tags provide better image context/descriptions to search engine crawlers, helping them to index an image properly.

So it is a important for SEO.  XML Sitemaps are especially important if:  You have pages on your site created dynamically (e.g. some e-commerce sites)  Your site is not well-structured or well-linked (internal links)  Your site has few external links or is new (a newly developed site just set “live”)  Your site is large and/or has lots of archived content that may not be well-linked.
  15. 15. Robot txt  Robots.txt is a text file webmasters create to instruct web robots (typically search engine robots) how to crawl pages on their website. The robots.txt file is part of the robots exclusion protocol (REP), a group of web standards that regulate how robots crawl the web, access and index content, and serve that content up to users. The REP also includes directives like meta robots, as well as page-, subdirectory-, or site-wide instructions for how search engines should treat links (such as “follow” or “no follow”).  In practice, robots.txt files indicate whether certain user agents (web-crawling software) can or cannot crawl parts of a website. These crawl instructions are specified by “disallowing” or “allowing” the behavior of certain (or all) user agents.

The source is the text, image, button that links to another resource and the destination is the resource that the source anchor links to. It helps you for fast navigation.  Anchor linking can be done in two different ways 1. Internal linking A link which navigates to another page inside your website itself. 1. External linking a link that navigates to another website.
  19. 19. 404 page error  404 page error or not found error is displayed when you go to a page that doesn’t exist with in an active website.  It occurs when your website is having broken links or when you type a web address which doesn’t exist.

W3c validator  W3C stands for the World Wide Web Consortium who are the recognize  W3c established that there is a “rule-book” to define how we write our HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc and make sure we do a good job, right? Well the programming languages we use all have their own grammar, vocabulary and syntax just like a spoken language and that means that it can be written wrong if it does not follow the rules. When we say we write “W3C valid code” or that “our websites pass W3C validation”, we are saying that the code we write and websites we build will pass W3C validation tests without errors because our syntax and “grammar” is correct. It means we wrote awesome code that was done right.
