The time is now to start a planned giving program. - What is so Great About Planned Giving? Students: Give us information now - on philanthropy and the importance of giving back. Alumni: Ask me if I have remembered my HBCU in my estate plan. If you don’t, someone else will. Supporters: Share stories of how gifts help students. Invite me to join a Legacy Society. Let me know that I am appreciated. Aquanetta J. Betts, J.D., thinks HBCUs are missing out on this fundraiser. Other colleges and universities have robust planned giving programs that information and engage donors.
