  1. 1. overviewIntroductionOverview of Tele-ImmersionRequirement of Tele ImmersionMain Parts of Tele Immersion:-How Tele-Immersion WorksChallenges of 3D Tele-Immersion DataApplicationConclusion
  2. 2. INTRODUCTION Tele immersion is a technology that will be allow users in different geographic locations to come together and interact with each other in a simulated holographic environment as if they are in the same physical room. Users will feel as if they are actually looking, talking and meeting with each other face to face in the same place, even though they may be miles apart physically. It is an integration of 3D audio and video conferencing. Each user is surrounded by cameras and audio devices to capture his or her body movements.
  3. 3. Overview of Tele-Immersion  It has three levels:-1. Capturing Level:- It consists of a set 3D cameras.2. Transmission Level:- This receives the compressed 3D video streams. Tele-Immersion Architecture3. Displaying Level:- It displays the 3D video streams.
  4. 4. Requirement of Tele Immersion3D environment scanningAudio technologies Tele-cubicle or CAVEPowerful networking CAVE CAVE:- The CAVE cubed multi-person, room-sized, high- resolution, 3D video and audio environment.
  5. 5. Main FUNCTIONAL Parts of Tele - Immersion:-1. Tele-immersion client (TIC):-It consists of CAVE to allow the participantsto Communicate with one another.2. Tele-immersion server (TIS):-The data generated by Tele-immersionclient managed by Tele-immersionserver.3. Remote data and computational services.:- It compute the intensive task running on supercomputers . If data is too much large to visualize, it will compress the data & performs specific tasks to visualize the data for another participants.
  6. 6. How Tele-Immersion WorksMain user Tele-Immersive user There is a sea of cameras & displaying level which provide view of users and their surroundings.
  7. 7. Challenges of 3D Tele-Immersion DataTransport challenges:- If resolution of camera is high then it required more bandwidth in Mbps. Generally minimum the bandwidth required up to 30-50 Mbps.Rendering challenges:- Rendering is the transformation of geometric information into images for Display.Rendering Needs:- High-Performance Rendering system must generate image frames Architecture:- at a minimum 20-30 Hz rate.
  8. 8. The realization of Tele-Immersion is Critical today due to:-Large network bandwidth requirements.The non-availability of high speed networks. The streaming or reconstruction of audio & video are critical to achieving the feel of Telepresence.
  9. 9. ApplicationInteracting with peoples miles away in a simulated environment.Use in Engineering. Tele-immersion also finds its application in the field of education for distance learning.
  10. 10. Tele-immersion can be of immense use in medical industrylike surgery-cal training and diagnosis.Use in offices for Teleconferencing.
  11. 11. Conclusion It is conclude that Tele-Immersion is a fast developingtechnology and it is going to benefit the common people. It helps inmany fields, it reduces the travelling time in business other fields .Itis the way for humans, interact with each other . Although it is asgood as "being there", it might be good enough for businessmeetings, professional consultations, training sessions, etc. Tele-Immersion is a technology that is certainly going to bring anew revolution in the world.
