  2. 2. Geographical location <ul><li>Oman is in the Middle East. It is bordering the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, and Persian Gulf. It is between Yemen and UAE. Its capital city is Muscat. </li></ul>Map of Oman
  3. 3. Physical Features <ul><li>A vast desert plain covers most of Oman. There are mountains along the north (Jebal Akhdar) and southeast coast. That is where the country's main cities are also located. </li></ul><ul><li>The climate is usually hot and dry in the center of Oman. It is also humid along the coast. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Physical Analysis <ul><li>One of Oman's physical problems is the decreasing of oil. Oil is one of the most economical industries in Oman </li></ul>
  5. 5. Social systems <ul><li>The two major religions in Oman are; Ibadhi Muslim and Sunni Muslims. </li></ul><ul><li>Oman’s population estimated (since 2005 is 3,001,583). </li></ul><ul><li>The languages mostly spoken in Oman are Arabic is the official and English. </li></ul>People of Oman
  6. 6. Social analysis <ul><li>Oman exports many people from other countries to work in their industries like, Indians and Philippinos. Today, there are 2.2 million Omani's and 600,000 expats. </li></ul><ul><li>In religion, the People of Oman are very stable and they respect each other whether they were Shi’as, Sunnis or Christians. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Political systems <ul><li>The government of Sultanate Oman is a monarchy ruled by the Al Bu Sa’id family. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Political analysis <ul><li>In Oman people are very happy with their leader because he did many things to help his country. He built schools, hospitals and a military. He also </li></ul><ul><li>Since there are so many expats in Oman. The government is trying to get Omani’s to take the expacts place by 2007. Its called “Omanization”. You rarely see any Omani’s working out in the hot sun but the Omanis don’t want to work in low-income jobs. </li></ul>

Economy systems <ul><li>Oman is heavily dependent on oil however Omen does not have the wealth of oil like other middle eastern countries but they have many industries like crude oil production and refining, natural and liquefied natural gas production, construction, cement, copper, steel, chemicals, optic fiber. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Economy analysis <ul><li>The economy of Oman is very dependent on oil, the oil is beginning to finish and the country is dealing well with this because the ruling family is making other industries to help their economy like construction, tourism, copper steel and optic fabrics. </li></ul>
