  1. 1.  In charge of guiding the direction of a publication concerning clothing, accessories and shoes  Supervise the process of creating, developing and presenting content for fashion-specific magazines, photo shoots, websites, newspaper sections, or TV shows.  Coordinate photography shoots with desirable models, clothing designers and photographers to create a reputation for their medium  Choose the image of models on runway shows and magazines  Dictate beauty standards for much of the industrialized world
  2. 2.  To become a fashion editor it is required to have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design & Merchandising or Journalism.

  6. 6.  Being a fashion editor is a very competitive position with successful jobs in major cities, such as New York, Los Angeles, London, and Paris.  Because the field is so competitive it is difficult to find positions.
