  4. 4. Makes 18 CookiesThese oatmeal cookies are packedfull of wholegrain and fibre to fillyou up and keep those hungerpangs at bay.Theyre great for snacks and arealso suitable for people withdiabetes.

Ingredients* 1 cup old-fashioned oats * 1/3 cup wheat bran* 1 tbs orange juice * 1/2 tsp baking soda* 1 cup whole-wheat pastry flour * 1/2 tsp cream of tartar* 1/2 cup softened low-fat butter * 1/4 tsp cinnamon* 1/4 cup granulated sugar * 1 orange, zested and juiced* 1/4 cup dark brown sugar * 1 egg white = =
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 350F (gas mark 4).Put the butter in a medium-sized mixing bowl andwhisk with an electric mixer. Slowly add both of thesugars and continue to mix for 2-3 minutes.Add the egg white.
  7. 7. Sieve the dry ingredients together inanother mixing bowl. Then, add to the wetmix, along with the orange juice and zest.Now, spoon the dough, 1 tablespoon at atime, onto two baking trays lined withparchment paper.
  8. 8. Bake for 10 minutes or until the bottom of thecookies are golden brown.Cool on a wire rack and serve.
