  18. 18. Create a Canva account
  19. 19. In Google search, type “canva.com” and press “Enter”
  20. 20. Type in your email.
  21. 21. Type in your chosen password.
  22. 22. Click “Sign up”.
  23. 23. Choose and click any of these boxes.
  24. 24. Welcome to Canva.
  25. 25. Click this to enter the website.
  26. 26. Click this to do a quick tour of Canva.
  27. 27. When done, let’s make your own design.

  29. 29. Choose a template from here.
  30. 30. Or click “More”…
  31. 31. Or click “use custom dimensions” if you have custom sizes.
  32. 32. Scroll down for more design templates.
  33. 33. Let’s choose Social Media.
  34. 34. Click this to choose this layout.
  35. 35. Click inside the text box.
  36. 36. Press and hold “Ctrl”and “A” to select all text.
  37. 37. Then type your text.
  38. 38. Click the smaller text box.
  39. 39. Press and hold “Ctrl”and “A” to select all text.
  40. 40. Again type your new text.
  41. 41. Click this to change font
  42. 42. Click this to change font size
  43. 43. Click this to change font color
  44. 44. How to name or rename your Canva design
  45. 45. On the upper-right, click this to name/rename your design
  46. 46. Type your design name/title here
  47. 47. And click “Done”
  48. 48. There’s your new design name/title
  49. 49. Your design is automatically saved by Canva.
  50. 50. Example, close this tab.
  51. 51. Press F5 on the Canva homepage and here’s your updated design
  52. 52. How to download your Canva images
  53. 53. On the upper-right, click “Download”.
  54. 54. You can choose and click any of these options.
  55. 55. Click this to download your image in JPG format.
  56. 56. Canva will now save your image to your desktop.
  57. 57. Download complete.
  58. 58. How to edit a Canva design
  59. 59. In your Canva homepage, click the design you want to edit.
  60. 60. The design will open in a new tab.
  61. 61. Now you can start editing.
  62. 62. Changes will be automatically saved.
  63. 63. Press F5 in your Canva homepage to update your design.
  64. 64. How to share your Canva image with others
  65. 65. On the upper-right corner, click “Share”.
  66. 66. Click “Post” to share this in Facebook.
  67. 67. Click “Share it now”.
  68. 68. Log in to your Facebook account.
  69. 69. Click “Post to Facebook”.
  70. 70. Click “Tweet” to share this via Twitter.
  71. 71. Or enter the email/s to whom you want to share this with.
  72. 72. And click this box to allow them to edit your design.
  73. 73. Then click send.

  75. 75. Log in to your Canva account.
  76. 76. Click “More”.
  77. 77. Scroll down to look for the Facebook cover template.
  78. 78. Under “Social Media & Email Headers”.
  79. 79. Click “Facebook Event Cover”.
  80. 80. This will open to a new tab.
  81. 81. Choose a layout.
  82. 82. Scroll down to choose a layout design.
  83. 83. Let’s choose this. Click it.
  84. 84. It will appear here.
  85. 85. Click on any element to edit.
  86. 86. When you click this, the text box should appear.
  87. 87. Press and hold “Ctrl” and “A” to select all text.
  88. 88. Then type in your new text to replace this.
  89. 89. Click on the edge of the text box to drag it to a new position.
  90. 90. You can also press “Delete” to delete it.
  91. 91. To resize the text box, click and hold this…
  92. 92. …then drag left or right, up or down.
  93. 93. Click this to change the font.
  94. 94. Click this to change the font size.
  95. 95. Click this to change the font color.
  96. 96. Click this to change the font color.
  97. 97. Click on the background…
  98. 98. …then click this to change background color.
  99. 99. Choose from the colors below.
  100. 100. My finished design looks like this.
  101. 101. But you can also add “Elements”…
  102. 102. …“Text”…
  103. 103. …“Background”…
  104. 104. …Or click “Upload” to add your own image.
  105. 105. Then click and choose from this.
