  20. 20. Pioneer institute of Professional studies, Indore│20sold. This is an enhanced form of marketing which convinces thecustomers and public that the brand they are selling are actuallybetter then the others in competition. Every business organizationhas an Advertising agency or department that caters to the entirepublic and effectively promotes the benefits and usage of theproduct. There are many ways to spread an advertising message. Here areeight ways to advertise a product or serviceTelevision AdvertisingTV commercials are a popular way to mass-market messages to largeaudiences. Although this medium has the ability to reach a high number ofpotential buyers, it is also one of the most costly forms of advertising. Forexample, one 30-second TV commercial during the Super Bowl cost about$3 million in 2009.Infomercials are another form of television advertising. The infomercial isdifferent than a commercial because it is longer, includes more productinformation, and has more of a personal tone. Although they are also costlyto produce, infomercials are highly effective in creating impulse buysbecause of their demonstrative and persuasive nature.Radio AdvertisingRadio commercials are an effective way for businesses to target a group ofpeople based on location or similar tastes. For example, a local night clubseeking college student clientele would probably consider advertising on alocal pop station. Likewise, a country and western bar would choose a localcountry station.Print AdvertisingMagazine and newspaper ads are another way to spread the word about aproduct or service. Print also offers the ability to target a specificaudience based on geography or common interests. Print advertising usuallyincludes larger display ads, as well as classified advertising. The classifiedsare typically very affordable, whereas display ads are a bit pricier.Raj Expess, Bhopal (M.P.)
  21. 21. Pioneer institute of Professional studies, Indore│21Online AdvertisingAdvertising online is an increasingly popular method for promoting abusiness. There are many forms of online advertising. Banner ads are imageads displayed on web pages. Google AdWords is another popular form ofonline advertising that matches an ad to an Internet users search inquiry.Social network marketing has been the fastest-growing form of Internetadvertising. This includes using sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedInto promote a product or service. Many social networks have advertisingavailable, such as Facebook Ads.Billboard AdvertisingBillboard ads are large advertisements displayed on structures in publicplaces. Most commonly, billboards are located along highways to targetpassing motorists. Another type of billboard advertising is a mobile banneror billboard. This can range from the signs seen at major sporting eventarenas to billboard advertisements pasted on the sides of semi trailers.In-Store AdvertisingIn-store advertising takes place within a retail store. For example, acompany that produces a new cleaning product might include an end capdisplay when they ship the product to stores. This gives the store anattractive display that draws attention to the new product. Other types ofin-store advertising include banners and display cases. Word of Mouth AdvertisingWhile some may argue that word of mouth is not advertising because itsfree, this form of promotion is one of the most credible and pricelessassets of any business. Even if business owners cant buy word of mouthadvertising, they can encourage their customers to tell their friends andfamily about the great product or service they purchased.Raj Expess, Bhopal (M.P.)
  22. 22. Pioneer institute of Professional studies, Indore│22EndorsementsEndorsement is similar to word of mouth promotion but typically does costmoney. Having a product or service endorsed by a celebrity can increasesales and product awareness. Not every company can afford to have a majorA-list celeb promoting a product, though. For smaller companies, considerusing local celebrities or well-known individuals within the products nichemarket. For example, many equine companies look for professional horsetrainers to endorse their products.Forms Of Print Advertising: • Brochure Printing • Business Card Printing • Magazine Printing • Newsletter Printing • Newspaper Prints Ads • Business Stationery Printing ServicesPaid-circulation newspapers were the backbone for print media advertising. This made it possible for local businesses to advertise their goods andservices. The big names too utilized the newspaper space to show whattheir best offerings were. The layperson found adequate time and space togo through these ads with zeal.Advantages of Newspaper Print Media: • Reach Out to Target Audience: In all print media, the main advantage is the ability to reach a specific target audience. For the advertiser, this opens up so many new opportunities. It boosts sales and revenue figures. • Loyal Readership Base: There are no loyal readers in the online atmosphere. In fact, online visitors struggle to remember the names of the sites they visit. In the print media industry, the solid base of loyal readers makes it increasingly effective for advertisers.Raj Expess, Bhopal (M.P.)
  23. 23. Pioneer institute of Professional studies, Indore│23 • Longer Shelf Life: Websites change their content almost every day. An article that you read today or an ad you see today cannot be seen again the following day. Print media services, have a longer shelf life and enables readers to collect their favorite articles or magazines. • Creative Potential:The creative potential in print media ad is greater than in the online atmosphere. The strength to concieve innovative and eye-catching ads is limitless. Specific online advertisment makes it difficult to do that as design limitations are there. Too many limitations relating to colour, style, graphics, and format hinder the process.Raj Expess, Bhopal (M.P.)
