About the Village  Location: Chhata Tehsil of Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh.  Higher litracy rate compared to Uttar Pradesh average(Census 2011).  Ajahai Khurd: 68.26% (M:82.61%, F:51.32)  Uttar Pradesh: 67.84%  Ajhai Khurd village is administrated by Sarpanch (Head of Village) who is elected representative of village.  Total 836 families  Population : 5037
  3. 3. About the Village Sex Ratio: Uttar Pradesh Average(Census 2011)  Avg Sex ratio: 912  Child Sex ratio:902 Caste factor:  Substantial population of SC  28.69%  No ST Poupulation.
  4. 4. About the Village Work Profile  2079 engaged in work activities.  82.49%(Employment or earning more than 6 months)  17.51%(Marginal Activity providing livelihood for less than 6 months)  837 were Cultivators while 442 were agricultural labourers.

  7. 7. The Problem Sanitation What they have? • Good water resource. • Good power supply. What they don’t have? • Proper maintenance. • Proper supply. Fact: 70% of rural India defecates in open. >60% of all open defecations in theworld.
  8. 8. What can we do? 1. Step as a whole 1. By organizing a meeting with concerned authorities of village development. 2. Our Step 1. Channelizing water supply & appointing authorities. 3. Educating & organizing 1. They’ve to get together 2. Laying emphasis on a scheme.
