  1. 1. Interview: The Global Matchmaker Angelika Lancsak www.angelikalancsak.com delivers a personal matchmaking service all over the globe for international people of style and sophistication who require a strategic and professional approach to find their perfect match. What motivated you to become a global matchmaker? Global matchmaking is a tough and challenging job – it requires the talent to read people in seconds, even on the phone. It requires a special social attitude – an urge to help people. It requires patience and understanding for demanding personalities. It requires acceptance for different mentalities and cultures. I meet those requirements and I always have been interested in doing something different – and I love to work with people. How many cities, countries, or continents do you travel to in a given month? It’s not about how many cities, countries and continents I travel – I am no travel freak and I need time & silence for matching my clients – it is about finding new markets, connecting with a country and its people in the right way, getting the spirit & sensing the needs of the people. I have months where I travel a lot, I have months where I am just working on my inquiries, it all depends on the level of energy & mental connection I have with potential clients. My focus is on the Mid East / Dubai, certainly the whole GCC countries, India, Asia, whole Europe and USA. The world is changing constantly, economies are getting better and worse – here and
  2. 2. there. So I have to focus on countries where high accomplished singles are doing their business and seeking an exceptional match. Cosmopolitan expatriates – those are my main clientele. Explain how you connect men and women from all over the world. My practice in yoga and meditation for almost 20 years allows me to understand individuals in a special way. I draw clients from all over the world and I meet and interview every single one. Once I know their objectives and desires, I begin a search for the most compatible and suitable person for my client to meet. Only with the permission of both parties will I put them in touch with one another. It’s kind of a *headhunting* for the perfect match. Raised in an excellent Austrian family, I do have contacts all over the planet. I do get my best ideas about an ideal match during my meditation. Why do the majority of your clients use your service? The majority of my clients are highly accomplished singles who are seeking an outstanding global minded match. They work a lot and have no time to hang out and seek by themselves. They want to have their search handled discreetly. What are the biggest challenges in helping people from different cultures find their soul mate? Well certainly I have to know the different mentalities, I have to learn about their culture & religion, I have to accept their way of thinking and have to motivate them to leave their “comfort zones” to gain a great relationship. It is not easy but I love what I do. Describe the typical male client. What are they looking for in women? There is no typical male client – they all are different / certainly not the “average guys but men with ambition” – every one of them seeks a compatible lady: Demands? Warmth, psychological support & understanding, loyalty, passion. And mostly beauty! Describe the typical female client. What are they looking for in men? Again – there is no “typical female client” – I take care of career women, business ladies, top models, heiresses. Different expectations. Certainly the most of them ask for class, financial stability, education, standing, a good heart in a man. What legacy do you hope your work leaves in the world of love, dating, and relationships? My goal is and always has been to bring happiness to people who are stuck, to help those who want to settle down with someone from another culture. The young generation is open-minded, traditions are breaking up, mindsets have developed a lot, seeking something special in their lives. Leave the narrow-minded establishment (Mid East, Asia) behind and create something “new” – learn from each other and you will gain a lot: Energy, a better personality, an amazing life! Wealth is in our brain and creativity, zest to succeed, archaic instincts, but worthless without dignity. Interview by American relationship expert Neil Williams for „The Romance Files“.
