“Working through the content in module 2 on
communication, I learnt about communication styles &
preferences. I realised that my people have very different
styles and one person needed a much more supportive
approach. I instantly changed how I communicated with her
and the results were immediate. I can’t believe that such a
small change could impact so much.” - Julian

“I always considered myself a pretty good manager and
prided myself on treating my team in a consistent way. I
realised after learning about the communication preferences
that I was wrong! Each person needs a very different
approach in order to unlock their unique value. I have been
changing my approach to each person and seen a real
impact in how my team respond.” - Sandy

“I didn’t really want to do this journey, but my upline insisted. I
thought it was going to be just like other training I have been on. But
I was wrong. After seeing what the path contained, the approach and
how it impacted the rest of the participants in my cohort I realised I
was missing out! I really want to do the second path, I am motivated
and I am voluntarily putting my hand up this time for path 2.” - Kevin

“I have 7 direct reports. They kept coming to me with all
their issues and I kept ignoring them, because it was all too
much and distracted me from doing my work. After
completing the learning on Listening, I have totally changed
my approach. I am making an active effort to really listen to
each person and am finding gems in what they are saying.
Changing my approach & increasing my attention to
listening has been a game changer.” - Nishaan

“A point I learnt and it has already made a huge difference is
summarizing. It stems from having ADD where I assume
everyone is as fast as me and understands everything the
same way I do. My thinking was “they listened to the same
info as I did so they must understand the same as I do”.
I have been summarizing all my conversations for a few
weeks now and it has made a huge difference, not in me that
much but rather clarifying my expectations for my team

positive impact within work, personal life as well as the
on the learning group. The journey started off with a
difficult course of self-awareness which set the
foundation to get our mindsets right to adopt the skills
to follow. Before change can occur you need to identify
your weaknesses (skills and emotional) and accept
that you need to spend effort on improving these

bought 2 cappuccino’s & because the person selected to not
be anonymous, I went to her and sat down with her to explore
what was behind her feedback. We had such a rich discussion
& I am grateful for the feedback and the opportunity Inspired
