Andy's Projects (small)

  1. 1. A rundown of my favorite events and experiential marketing projects. Arranged according to weight of personal importance. By: Andy Ty Urrutia https://www.facebook.com/uncannyarts boks_andy@yahoo.com +65 93877590 More than just work
  2. 2. CITIGROUP CONFERENCE 2004: Concept: Citilympics/ Starry Starry Night Singapore Guest Attendance: 300 Budget: SGD 450,000 Scope of creative work: Event Concept Creation Concept and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Program Development Print and Construction Management Event Management I highlighted this event due to its scale, and sequence of events that went into aquiring and excecuting it. We pitched for the project a few months before the event date, and only got the project three weeks before the event. So working with the client 7 days a week we man- aged to iron out the final designs. Had the production crews running to succesfully meet the deadline, and got everything all working in time for the event. First day of the event December 23, 2004, the Citilym- pics. Everything goes well. Final day of the event, a jam packed conference day topped with a comany dinner and staff performances. The conference part goes well. We are turning the ballroom into the gala dinner setting, and the client bursts out and looks for me wanting to make last minute changes. Of course we do our best to accomodate what we can and finish it up in time for the event to push through! Talk about a tough work day on a Christmas eve, but we pulled it off and received rave reviews. Time well spent!
  3. 3. ESSILOR 2004: Concept: Zen In Sabah Sabah, Malaysia Guest Attendance: 500 Budget: SGD 850,000 Scope of creative work: Event Concept Creation Concept and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Program Development Print and Construction Management Event Management My first project in Malaysia was quite an interesting one. The venue at Shangri-La Tanjong Aru was amazing! The project went pretty smooth as events go. Went there a few days early to do the setup, then went to do the four day event, after that we spent a day just chillin after the successful event.
  4. 4. GOURMET ABU DHABI 2009 Concept: Gourmet Masterclass Abu Dhabi Guest Attendance: 300+ Budget: SGD 900,000 Scope of creative work: Artistic Concepts and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Program Development Print and Construction Management Event Management My only project in Abu Dhabi was an unexpectedly great surprise. It was honestly a tough event with all the activi- ties going on at different locations, and the very different way the locals work there. This will always be in my top favorites for my experiential projects. Great food, great people, good times!
  5. 5. SINGAPORE FILM FESTIVAL 2009 Concept: Film Reel Singapore Guest Attendance: 200 Budget: SGD 60,000 Scope of creative work: Concepts and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Program Development Print and Construction Management Event Management Program/Show Direction This was the first time that I ran the show aside from just creating and building the artwork. It was an intimate event with the attending filmakers and industry players, which was cool. Specially because I got to hang out with quite famous directors from all over the region. Just goes to show that some of the best things are not always the biggest or most expensive! P.S. That’s a picture of me with the famous Filipino direc- tor Mr. Nick De Ocampo.
  6. 6. MOTOROLA AP KICKOFF 2006: Concept: Into the Jungle Sabah, Malaysia Guest Attendance: 500 Budget: SGD 800,000 Scope of creative work: Event Concept Creation Concept and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Program Development Print and Construction Management Event Management Once more the venue at Shangri-La Tanjong Aru was amazing! The people were great, and the event went pretty smooth for this one. I’ll always remember this event as it was were I got a chance to really talk to the top people at Motorola and find out how down to earth and wonderfully fun people they are. I’m still amazed at how people can surprise you in such wonderful ways!
  7. 7. SIEMENS MAGNETOM 2005 Concept: Conference/Beach Party Singapore Guest Attendance: 200 Budget: SGD 300,000 Scope of creative work: Concept Development Concepts and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Program Development Print and Construction Management Event Management It may look like a typical corporate event, but it was a great experience to work with such amazing people. And when it came down to enjoying themsenves, the scene we set for Siemens Magnetom people just set the stage for everyone to have an amazing time in various restau- rants that culminated with the beach party .
  8. 8. SINGAPORE SACEOS BOOTH 2009-2010 Concept: Branding/Marketing Exercise Russia Guest Attendance: NA Budget: SGD 50,000/event Scope of creative work: Concept Development Concepts and Design Presentation Art Direction Design Development Working with a lot of adversity on such a small scale sometimes is a drab, but when you get to work with great people it’s all worth it to help them get the best results. Russian people can be so cool! This was a few events we did in the span of 2 years.
  9. 9. ELI LILLY 2010 Concept: Prehistoric Singapore NEW ZEALAND TOURISM AWARDS2010 Concept: Fern Leaf Singapore Guest Attendance: 600 Budget: SGD 300,000 Scope of creative work: Concept Development Concepts and Design Presentation Art Direction/Design Development Guest Attendance: 150 Budget: SGD 30,000 Scope of creative work: Concept Development Concepts and Design Presentation Art Direction/Design Development Gotta love the Japanese for taking creative risks. Proposed a crazy concept and they totally went for it! As a creative person I cannot help but love projects like this. Another Project that’s close to my heart is the New Zealand Tourism Awards. A very intimate gathering but when the cre- ative people and the organizing comittee are in sync with what they want, it’s always a great working experience.
  10. 10. At the end of the day, it’s the experiences we have that creates real value to our work, and our lives. AU By: Andy Ty Urrutia https://www.facebook.com/uncannyarts boks_andy@yahoo.com +65 93877590
