  4. 4. Registration with Fitness Australia <ul><li>Registration with Fitness Australia is a Professional Credential (eg. CPA, ADA). </li></ul><ul><li>Registration provides the public with confidence in the services that are provided and an assurance of quality. It is your ‘license to work’ as an exercise professional. </li></ul><ul><li>Registered exercise professionals are bound by Fitness Australia’s Code of Ethics . </li></ul><ul><li>As an exercise professional you are required to maintain current CPR and First Aid certificates and complete an ongoing learning requirement to maintain the currency of your credentials. . </li></ul>

Promoting your Professional Credential <ul><li>All Registered EP’s receive a wallet sized ID card, iron-on patches displaying your Level of Registration; and, a certificate of registration. </li></ul><ul><li>Fitness Australia promotes the use of registered exercise professionals by the general public and we encourage you to promote and display your professional credentials to your existing and prospective clients. </li></ul><ul><li>The register of exercise professionals is publicly accessible and can be viewed via the Fitness Australia website and </li></ul>

Professional Liability Insurance <ul><li>Fitness Australia works in partnership with Guild Insurance to deliver an insurance package that is specifically tailored for registered exercise professionals. </li></ul><ul><li>At a cost of $192.50, the exercise professional receives a 2 year insurance cover, with $10 million public liability and $5 million professional indemnity. These figures can be increased on request. </li></ul><ul><li>You must be operating within your scope of practice in order to be insured. </li></ul><ul><li>Exercise Professional insurance can be purchased via the Fitness Australia website.
