KEY POINTS• By 5pm March 30, 2012 you need to submit your viral video for approval• A content management system (CMS) from a company called Wildfire (www.wildefireapp.com) will be used• Videos will be approved and ready to launch at 9am on Tuesday April 3• This system makes things more straightforward on the back end. It does not affect how you disseminate the video
  3. 3. STEP 1: UPLOAD VIDEO TO YOUTUBE Change privacy setting to “unlisted” (not private)
  4. 4. STEP 2: GET YOUR VIDEO’S URL Copy the URL for later
  5. 5. STEP 3: GO TO FACEBOOKhttp://www.facebook.com/AndrewTStephen Note: you don’t have to Like me!  Click on Contests
  6. 6. STEP 4: ENTER CONTEST (1) Check that you’re entering the BMKT2515 MBA contest and not something else 2. Then Go to App1. Click enter contest
  7. 7. STEP 4: ENTER CONTEST (2) Fill out this entry form Select one member of your team as representative Note that DOB is required by the app, not me. Sorry!
  8. 8. STEP 4: ENTER CONTEST (3)Make sureyou clickthe YouTubeoption You then have to connect your FB account to YouTube
  9. 9. STEP 4: ENTER CONTEST (4) Enter the public title for your video Enter the YouTube video URL from Step 2
  10. 10. STEP 5: DONEWhen you see this screen your submission is complete.Do not publish to wall or invite friends. Just click skip. Click skip and you’re done
  11. 11. THEN WHAT HAPPENS?• I will receive your submissions and review them. They will be approved (unless there is a problem) by Monday April 2• Starting 9am on Tuesday April 3 you can start spreading your video (i.e., implement your dissemination plan)• You should send your targets directly to your video’s YouTube URL not this Facebook app• If people to go to this app after 9am on Tuesday April 3 they will see all videos from the class and can vote for the one they like the best – These votes do not count for the class contest and extra credit incentive – All that counts for your purposes is number of video views on YouTube
