Variety or multiformity. - It means to understand that every individual is unique; this can refer to race, gender,ethnicity, socio-economics, sexual orientation, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, politicalbeliefs, or other ideologies. 1. What is cultural competence? - Refers to an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures, particularly in the context of human resources, and government agencies whose employees work with persons from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds. How can you develop it? - I believe by moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual. 2. How can you communicate effectively? - By learning when is time to talk, and when is time to listen. A dialogue should run smoothly without any interruption and disrespect in any manner. 3. How can you make the most of personal relationships?
