PARIS • Τhe Paris also known as the city of light since the main boulevards illuminated with gas lamp in 1828 is the capital of France and the region ile –de –France and one of the most historic in Europe Paris includes the city of Paris and its surrounding .and is located in a basin .The total population of the metropolitan area exceeds 13 million and • Is thus one of the largest cities in Europe and the world .Moreover it is the cultural and financial capital of France the most important hub and head quarters of many international organizations such as UNESCO
  3. 3. Thomans Mann • Thomas Mann was born in Lübeck, near the Baltic Sea, on July 6, 1875. He came from a bourgeois merchant family. His brother Heinrich Mann was also an important writer. After the death of his father did not follow his mother and siblings in Munich. He went to Italy, where he wrote "Bountenmprok" which established him as an important writer from a very young age.
  4. 4. His live • First World War contributed to its exceptional inhibitory path.Novels and short stories followed until in 1924 he wrote the monumental work "The Magic Mountain", the mythical transfer of political, philosophical and religious discussions throughout this period.
