5. The investment is made up of two objectives, feed
mill and grain storage cells. FNC building is a 7 level
steel construction.The structure has a mixed system
of frames and braced frames. Floors are either steel
decks or concrete slabs.
The foundation system is a mat foundation and rests
on the ground through a ballast cushion.
Storage cells have a capacity of 2000 tons, approxi-
mately 2600mc. Three pieces are provided.
Cells are founded on a mat that rests on a cushion
of ballast.
Construction Equipment was provided by Buhler
Group.
The investment is based on European Founds and in
the project are integreted all the utillities.
6. One star indoor extensive chicken
farm
The farm has 4 production units of 12x60m, 12x85m and 2 of 12x90m, technical
rooms, feed silos and sanitary filter. The project particularity is the BIO conditions of
raising the chickens as for each unit there was provided a covered grassy garden with
fruit trees, plum and apple trees.
The structure has braced frames on one direction and trusses on the other. The enve-
lope is made of sandwich panels.

8. The purpose of this project
was the technical documen-
tation at the detailed design
to build the structures for the
oil sludge equipement that
fuels the clinker kiln. The
building is located between
cells 3 and 4 of the former
oven clinker 1, dismantled.

9. It was requested to increase storage capacity of Kerosene jet fuel by 2 tanks within 2 stages. The mini-
mum capacity requested it was of 2200 cubic meters and it should be operated with the same existing
plants (railroad self discharge, loading the car, transferring from one tank to another) and realization of
construction works to take over fuel spills (a new retention wall) and the access road to the new tanks to

The building is made of reinforced concrete frames and walls made in monolithic structure.
Being a design contest focus was mainly on the architecture.The concept was realized by archi-
tect Mario Kuibus. On the part of the structure was carried out structural dimensioning and 3D
model of the structure.
Helsinki Central Library Contest
The building is mixed, both metal and concrete monolith.
