The sustainable development goals (SDGs) are the golden key to realizing the dreams of
the peoples of the world - especially low income countries – that can make economic
development, job creation, education and health reform, conservation of natural
resources, and facing serious challenges such as water scarcity, energy and climate
change, What is even more dangerous is the indifference through the existence of
specific goals that unite the whole world to achieve them and reach results that are
reflected on the peoples

But these goals are still absent from the knowledge of the peoples of a
few countries of the world because of the lack of media focus on them or
to exploit the realization of those goals politically to achieve special results,
which is reflected negatively on the confidence of citizens.
A number of countries unfortunately do not give sufficient attention to the
definition these goals to citizens, especially young people or try to achieve
interaction and dialogue community around them to encourage young
people to identify them closely and interact with them.

Our solution
Elmoustkbal SDGs platform

Our project:
is an awareness platform to give highlight to people and press attention about these goals
and what they can achieve for the Egyptian people, especially young people, as well as
raising the awareness of the Arab peoples about the role of these goals in achieving
economic development and the consequent provision of job opportunities, increasing
income and achieving human living for citizens, which is leading to community and regional
peace.

Vision
Convince citizens of the importance of those goals and their relationship to their lives and
impact on their future and their families lives to be that point is the main engine to
interact with and start to implement on the ground.
We are gradually working to enable simple information to be communicated to citizen so
as to reduce the awareness gap about those goals among the high income and low
income peoples of the world.

Tools:
We used social media, Facebook, Twitter, direct and indirect questions for citizens, news
and statistics, as well as expressive images and regional and international partnerships.
The first kick started with the launch of simple awareness campaigns in an accessible
language for readers on Facebook and Twitter, regional and international partnerships to
activate it, as well as press campaigns on Social Media with organizations and partners.
The second kick: We look forward to working on it, which means establishing an
awareness platform as a specialized site for education and guidance and providing training
materials to raise awareness of SDGs.

Our opportunity:
Low-income countries, especially the Arab world, are facing an enormous challenge
in the media field, Many of these media outlets have lost the confidence of their
citizens and have shifted from general vision to abstract information to a private
vision far from the public view.
There is need for independent youth media tools that emerge from the narrow view
and intellectual framework of a broader, more comprehensible and comprehensive
scope.
This is what we are trying hard to achieve in Elmoustkbal SDGs

Challenges:
- The theme of the sustainable goals new to the peoples of some low in come
countries and needs an extensive effort to define it (countries exhausted from conflicts
and civil wars).
- Lack of funding for young independent youth projects.
- Focus the interaction of a number of international institutions and others working
in the field of SDGs based on written reports and away from the ground, what is said
to be achieved is different from reality, which needs independent media to clarify
- Lack of availability of information and statistics easily accessible locally and
regionally.
- The exploitation of some of increase or decrease from the importance of these goals
in the media for special purposes.
- The enormous gap in vision between the high-income and low-income world in
achieving those goals (we lived in two separate worlds).
