  2. 2.  Have way too much info. Should not change all the time. Should not magically shrink.
  3. 3.  Are uniform. Are not distracting. Are lined up.
  4. 4.  Are too busy. Change each slide. Distract from your message.
  5. 5.  Are visually appealing. Match the theme of your PowerPoint. Are not the same color as the text.
  6. 6.  Similar or the same as the background.
  7. 7.  Using complementary colors that appeal tothe eye. Having light colors on dark background. Having dark colors on light background.Having dark colors on a light background.
  8. 8.  That are inappropriate. That are distracting. That have nothing to dowith the theme ofthe PowerPoint.This picture is a sample of all three!
  9. 9.  Compliment the information. Are sparingly used. Are relevant.

  16. 16.  Where the background distracts from themessage. Where the colors distract from the message. Where the font effects affect the way themessage is interpreted.
  17. 17.  The background helps emphasize themessage. The font effects help to make the meaningclear. The use of pictures help the message comethrough loud and clear.
  18. 18.  Adhere to what has been listed in theprevious slides. Make sure to critically examine what you havecreated. Keep your audience in mind. Have fun!
