A record 11 issues resolved and 21 showing good progress. Unprecedented cooperation with the government – with Minister Chen Mei-ling in particular Passage of legislation creating a Patent Linkage system from Pharma Committee, bolstering Taiwan’s IPR protection Other successes from Transportation and Logistics, Human Resources, Cosmetics, Public Health, Real Estate, Tax, and Technology How to build on this momentum into 2018 • 13 priority go-forward recommendations for 2018 • Overall: • Imbue all levels of government with the innovative spirit • Create flexible working hours regulations for professional/managerial personnel • Ensure a sufficient, stable, cost-effective energy supply • Welcome investment from major private equity funds • Continue to enhance transparency and communication in the rules-making process.
