For Southern Circuit 2012/2013 we will be using Dropbox to deliver promotional materials from filmmakers to all of our partner venues. If you are unfamiliar with Dropbox, we have prepared this tutorial to assist you.
Step 1:We will send you an email inviting you to our shared Southern Circuitfolder. The email will look like the image below. If you do not receive thisemail please check your spam folders and then call us to be sure that wehave your correct email address.Step 2:Click on the View Southern Circuit link within the email.
Step 3:When you click the link in the email, it will open up the Dropbox sign in page in yourinternet browser. Step 4: If you have a Dropbox account, enter your information and sign in. (skip to slide 6) -or- If you do not have a Dropbox account then you will need to click the create an account link shown below.
Step 5:Clicking this link will bring up the Create an account screen below.Enter your information and click Create Account.
Step 6:Below is an example of what the home screen will look like once youare logged in. To be able to view your shared folder, click on theSharing link on the left (it should have a red “1” floating beside it).
Step 7:The Sharing screen will look like the image below. Click theenvelope icon that says 1 new shared folder invitation.
Step 8:The dialogue box below will appear. You should see our folder,Southern Circuit. Click Accept.
Step 9:If our program folder doesn’t open automatically click Southern Circuit . You will then seethe three circuit folders. Step 10: To find promotional materials, click on your circuit, and then the film that you need materials for.
Step 11:In each film folder you will find all the promotional material for that film. Some willbe images, like the film stills, and some will be documents like the film synopsis andfilmmaker bios.
Step 12:To preview an image file, click on the file name. This will open apreview window.To download the item you need, right click on the file and selecteither Get Link or Download.
