  4. 5. Mary Smaragdis is the Executive Director of the Sun Foundation and a Sun Foundation Ambassador. She works on initiatives that bring to life Sun's cause -- to eliminate the digital divide. Mary has been a strategic contributor to Marketing functions at Sun Microsystems for more than a decade, having played principal roles in Brand, eMarketing, Lifecycle and Audience Marketing, Web, PR, Executive Communications, and other functions. She has a background in journalism, having spent five years at USA Today. Her blog -- MaryMaryQuiteContrary -- has been featured in Fortune Magazine, Financial Times Germany, CMO Magazine and other publications. She holds a B.A. in Government and Politics from George Mason University.
  5. 6. Jude Medeiros has worked in the foodservice business since her first job in 1976 as a grill cook. In 2002, Jude brought her skills to Sodexho when she became a District Manager for Corporate Services in the Mid-Atlantic Area. Jude has proven herself to be a results oriented individual with a record of driving both revenue and customer satisfaction, winning the District Manager of the Year award in 2004. Her commitment to diversity has been actively demonstrated as one of the founding members of Sodexho’s PRIDE network group. PRIDE – which stands for “People Respecting Individuality Diversity & Equality” – is now entering its third successful year with Jude as the Member-at-Large Chair. Their work focuses on making a more welcoming and equal workplace for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their allies. Jude was born and raised in Westchester County, NY, and currently resides in Sterling, VA. She enjoys the performing arts, travel, and developing her repertoire in cooking regional Italian cuisines. Jude recently became a featured food writer for Jane & Jane magazine, a publication dedicated to home and culture issues for lesbian readers.
