A very broad concept, it is essentially the efficient and effective generation and development of ideas through a process that leads to new products. ins and outs of the product Very Busy Lack of enough knowledge (probably) Too much details Professional enough not to do everything by themselves High responsibility Best in project management Long term approach fans 8

Marketing is used to create, keep and satisfy the customer. With the customer as the focus of its activities, it can be concluded that Marketing is one of the premier components of Business Management - the other being innovation Know narrative, storyline and messaging Know the DATA (should in a good marketing team) Analytical approach More short term than long term planning More brand and less behavior change Busy enough More practical than HR 9

Know the user Must have enough knowledge Far from marketing and sales (most of the time) Know Motivational design Best team to go to Hardest team to work with (probably) Too much right brain Rule-based More human-centered design than human-focused design 10

Culture-aware Know the business Know the team Knowledge of personalities and motivators Low priority in the business Low project management skills (probably) Lack of enough practical knowledge (probably) Too many objectives (most of the times) On the theoretical side 11

O u t - s o u r c i n g t h e G a m i f i c a t i o n D e s i g n p r o c e s s P r o d u c t / U XO u t - s o u r c e The practice of having certain job functions done outside a company instead of having an in-house department or employee handle them; functions can be outsourced to either a company or an individual. Outsourcing has become a major trend in human resources over the past decade. Good for learning and evaluation Obviously have a Learning curve about the business Can help build the team Staying just for the project (won’t be permanent) Low culture-awareness Time effective with higher cost Reliable on knowledge (mostly) Practical approach 12
