  2. 2. YOGHURT *Ingredients: pasteurised cow milk, yoghurt yeast Food value : Energy, protein, carbonhydrate, fat, calcium, sodium potassium,vitamin A,C and ferrum.
  3. 3. YOGHURT -Yoghurt is mostly fermented at home in Turkey. -Yoghurt make stronger both gut flora and immune system by the help of the probiotics it contains.
  4. 4. YOGHURT *The yoghurt you buy from supermarkets contains average 16.4 gr sugar for each 100 gr. *In some packaged yoghurt there is some harmful ingredients like butter, jelatin, genetically modified starch, milk powder, sakarin etc.
  5. 5. TOMATOES Contain carbonhydrate, potassium, vitamin A,ferrum, protein fibre, sodium, calcium and vitamin C.
  6. 6. TOMATOEs *Tomatoe is consumed in Turkey too much. It is used in almost all kinds of meals. *They are mashed and salted and dried in the sun. *It is used as tomatoe paste.
  7. 7. BENEFITS OF TOMATOEs Consuming tomatoe :  Heals skins problems,  awakens blood circulation,  Reduces cholestrol level,  Protects kidneys and prevents early dementia.  Protects the hearth against diseases.
  8. 8. BREAD *Bran bread contains large amount of fibre and pomace. It makes you feel full and it is indispansable for diet programmes. Morever, as it contains wholegrain it is so nutritious. It also includes vitamin E and B. It prevents lipoidosis. It balances blood glucose. It also makes digestion easy.
  9. 9. SHEET BRAN BREAD Ingredients: bran flour, salt, water.
  10. 10. PACKAGED BREAD Ingredients:  Bran flour(sixty percent),weatflour, water, sourdough yeast, bread yeast, salt, grapes vinegar, antioxidan, protective substance.
  11. 11.  As you see in packaged bread there are lots of harmful ingredients so if you want to consume bread you should prefer healtier one.
  12. 12. CHICKPEA *It was first cultivated in Anatolian region 8 thousand years ago. *It contains large amount of fibes and protein. *Chickpeaalso contains, carbonhydrate, potassium , vitamin C and B6.
  13. 13. Humus is a kind of famous chickpea meal in Tarsus. It is prepared with boiled chickpea, lemon, sesame butter, cumin and garlic. All ingredients are mixed and mashed. Hot butter is added. It is served hot.
  14. 14. THE BENEFITS OF CHICKPEA  It strenghtens bones.  Prevents cancer  İmportant for hearth health.  Protect body from inflammation.
  15. 15. OLIVE OLİVES İNGREDİENTS 1-water, 2-oily substances, 3-basic sugar, 4-other carbonhidrats, 5- proteins, 6- pectins, 7- organical acids, 8- tannins, 9-colour substances, 10-vitamins.

  17. 17. FINALLY; As you see, the food you prepare at home is always healtier than the food you buy from supermarkets. However if you buy especially food from supermarket, be careful with the ingredients against harmful substances.
