  2. LITHUANIAN RYE BREAD VELZELIO DUONA This dark rye bread is hand backed and contains rye flour, sourdough bread, salt and water.
  3. MARIJOS BREAD It was named after the backer Marija Vyteniene and contains the same simple ingredients as the previous bread.
  4. But in the supermarkets…. You can find a rich variety of rye and wheat breads which contain: sugar, yeast, molt, emulsifiers, thickeners, sorbic acid as a preservative.
  5. Lithuanian bread It can be dark, light, containing linen seeds, hemp seeds, caraway seeds – all healthy seeds which improve the taste and nutritional value.
  6. Dairy – fresh cheese from sour/ fresh milk It can be made from fresh milk (above) or sour milk or curd ( bellow) -which is much healthier because of the good bacteria or pro-biotic culture.
  7. MILK STAR-producer of Panevezys DVARO CURD CHEESE- made of sour milk- contains bacterial culture, naturally existing in the sour milk and salt. Expiration time 7 days. No preservatives added.
  8. Curd cheese products in our shops You can see the price for kilo – not much. This piece can cost about 2 EUR. Curd cheese was added to the list of protected products. It has become the third Lithuanian protected product in the European Union.
  9. KEFIR/SOUR MILK This healthy drink is very popular in Lithuania among older generation. The choice in the shops is very rich.
