  2. 2. WHAT IS IT?• A phone application• Allows Adelaide readers to contribute to the news by sharing news tips, video and photos with the newsrooms of the Advertiser, Sunday Mail and Adelaide Now.• First of app of its kind in the country• Launched October 31 2011

WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?• Recently Advertiser NewsMedia has experienced an increase in user-generated content – People on the spot at serious news events – Photos and videos from around the city (i.e. celebratory events, sunsets, wildlife) – Photos sent in for regular news segments/competitions• The Newsforce App makes it easy for reader to become involved in current local news• Makes the news more interactive to recieve it from the general public as well as from the journalists• The App demonstrates the commitment of the Advertiser to use state of the art technology to better engage with the community.
  4. 4. HOW DOES IT WORK?• The NewsForce Smartphone App is free to download at the App store and on the Android Market• Once downloaded you simply need to register by providing your phone number

  6. 6. HOW DOES IT WORK?• You can then add your story or caption as well as a photo or video• Select Submit to send your content to the Advertiser, Sunday Mail and Adelaide Now newsrooms
