  1. 1. ****Poop Deck**** 12.2.2018 01206 302594 Dear Members, What a cold week it has been here in Brightlingsea, luckily with only a sprinkling of snow. Friday Night saw a warm welcome in the Clubhouse though for Rupert White, with almost 40 people eating a superb curry and many more attending the talk, including many of our own cadets. Rupert gave a truly inspirational and down to earth talk, explaining exactly what it means to aim for a Gold Medal in the Olympics, how much commitment and hard work is involved and the biggest hurdle, money! We are hoping it inspired our current cadets to aim high. Please follow Team WhiteUrwin on Facebook, as this will go a way to help increase their sponsorship. Rupert was supported by past Olympians, John Osborn, who sailed to Gold with Rupert’s Grandfather, Reg White, as well as Dad, Rob White and Jeremy Newman.
