2. Q.1:
Write your thoughts about the digital marketing in E-com? Among different types of
electronic payment system which one seems better to you?
Answer:
Digital marketing in E-com:
E-commerce is a business where buying and selling completely depends on the internet. Therefore
the Digital Marketing comes into the picture, as it is the only medium to help E-commerce business
to grow. The speedy growth of smartphones and internet give comprehensive access to selling and
purchasing merchandise at an ease.
Using Digital Marketing, E-commerce creates huge revenue as it helps to acquire customers and
brand value. Customers are no more dependent just on content or a word-of-mouth before buying a
product; they make sure to read the reviews about a product on all the platforms on which the
product is listed.
In e commerce market we can see three types of E-commerce mainly:
1. (C2C) Consumer-to-consumer
2. (B2B) Business-to-business
3. (B2C) Business-to-consumer
According to the recent analysis, 37 million social media visits led to 529,000 orders approx. Out of
others, Facebook helps to get more traffic to the website which leads to sales constituting average
85% of all the orders.
It has become very important to grab customer’s attention as they get distracted really easily, this is
where Digital Marketing comes into the picture and help E-commerce businesses to go through such
challenges.
Digital Marketing focuses on incorporating it’s appropriate marketing channels to make it easier for
E-commerce businesses.
Different types of electronic payment system and seems better to me:
Types of Electronic Payment Systems:
Digital Wallet
Digital Credit Card
Mobile Banking
Digital Cash
Accumulated Digital Payment System.
3. Cash in is important factor to pay cause if you have the money in your Digital Wallet then you
can pay for something .In this case of scenario Mobile Banking method has the easy cash in
Agent point .So I prefer Mobile Banking method.
In Bangladesh perspective everyone has SIM card and maximum of them using Mobile Banking
. So it is easy to send or receive cash on banking.
Q. 2:
2. What is the relation between E-Business and E governess? Write your opinion about
the future on E-com in Bangladesh.
E-governance involves to use of Information and Communication Technology and Its numerous
application by the government for the provision of information and e-services to the citizens of
the country.
E-business (electronic business) is the conduct of business processes on the internet. These e-
business processes include buying and selling goods and services, servicing customers,
processing payments, managing production control, collaborating with business partners,
sharing information, running automated employee services, recruiting; and more.
The most notable e-business example is Amazon, which, as the world's largest e-
commerce marketplace and largest internet company based on revenue, has used its e-
business model to disrupt numerous established industries, from publishing to
supermarkets.
E-business has drastically changed how corporations -- as well government agencies
and other such institutions -- operate, allowing them to increase productivity, lower costs
and move more quickly.
E-business and E-government are meet in a pin-point that is digitalization of all activities to the
people of the country. So E-business and E-governance are strongly connected each other.
Future of E-commerce in Bangladesh:
Accordingto the reportof WorldBank (WB),the economicgrowthrate of Bangladeshin2017 is 6.8
percentandthere isa significantcontributionof e-commerce.Specialistspredictthatthe numberwill

inBangladesh.BostonConsultingGroupandTelenordemonstrate, 32% of the total volume of countries’
familywill have atleastone internetconnectionwhichwill create agreatimpacton online purchase and
e-commerce alongwiththe economiccontribution.
The blessing of technology has created a buzzword which is “E-commerce”, this recently inspired
people to be self-employed in the e-commerce sector. Some types of e-commerce business as in
“online shopping”, “online cosmetics”, “online electronics” have been popular to start their
business. According to a research “electronics and groceries will reach 25% growth in online
4. sales”. The food business is also the most popular business in Dhaka city having 25% growth too
and in this sector “Foodpanda”, “Hungrynaki” have become prominent by their service.
E-commerce’s Impact on Economic Growth:
According to the report of World Bank (WB), the economic growth rate of Bangladesh in 2017
is 6.8 percent and there is a significant contribution of e-commerce. Specialists predict that the
number will increase in the nearest future and the reason is, by 2020, there will be 18.3 million
internet subscribers in Bangladesh. Boston Consulting Group and Telenor demonstrate, 32% of
the total volume of countries’ family will have at least one internet connection which will create a
great impact on online purchase and e-commerce along with the economic contribution.
Making Trust through Legal Issues & Product Quality:
The human being is congenitally scared of taking decision especially when the situation is not
usual. They think so many times throughout the entire purchase process. So when the process leads
to buying a product online and without seeing and the lack of return management, they think at
least twice. Lightcastel Partners researched and said that “around 57% of the
consumers purchasing products online were ‘indifferent’ or rated the service ‘bad’. In terms of
Facebook-based retail business, buyers sometimes face the lack of product quality. But for being
a popular platform, laws are being established by the authority when needed. As the consequence
of that, companies are being more conscious of the product and service quality. So it can be
presumable that in future the laws and product quality will enrich so far.
By integrating current and future eCommerce capabilities, a company can avoid the
bottlenecks associated with a complex sales cycle. ERP and eCommerce integration
automates the flow of data about items, inventory, orders, customers and other pertinent
sales records between independent systems for an overall improved process. ERP
integration with e-commerce is getting popular among the global e-commerce businesses.
Many renowned e-commerce companies in Bangladesh arealready using ERP integration
with e-commerce platforms. In near future, we will see this use even more.
Consumers will be more active in social media shopping
Social media shopping in Bangladesh is increasing at an exponential rate. This rate will be
higher in the coming future as there are more and more new business groups adding in
social media platforms. People will get all their necessary items on social media pages and
groups and social media can be another big platform for e-commerce service. Social media
shopping has the potential to make more revenue than traditional e-commerce sites.
Purchasing through online payment system
Online payments system in Bangladesh is getting more enhanced day by day. People still
don't have much faith inthe online payment system. But the scenario will massively change
in near future as the security has been increasing rapidly day by day in this sector. Mobile
banking Companies like bkash, Nagad, and DBBL rocket with other online banking
systems are gaining the trust of people and encouraging them to do all their transactions
online.
Technical infrastructure
5. As the market is getting bigger day by day, the technical structure of e-commerceplatforms
in Bangladesh will get more advanced in the near future. The websites will get more strong,
secure and fast to cater the increasing number of customers. To launch e-commerce sites
does not always mean that those websites must be hosted by servers in local markets. Many
times, it is not possible due to the local infrastructure limitations. Soon, Cloud services will
get more popular to host e-commerce websites. Financial technologies will also use more
to make the payment gateways more easy and secure. Some of the companies in
Bangladesh is providing the best cloud services and fintech services in Bangladesh.
Better governance
In near future, we will see more e-commerce platforms operating in Bangladesh. The
government of Bangladesh is considering the e-commerce sector as one of the most
prospective business sectors. This sector is already gaining major support from the
government. On a mission to implement the vision of digital Bangladesh, uplifting the e-
commerce industry is one of their key areas. The government of Bangladesh is trying to
bring more and more foreign investments and help the new e-commerce entrepreneurs.
They are also trying to create a level playing ground for the e-commerceindustry by setting
up advanced internet infrastructures and encouraging big companies to shift into e-
commerce.
Increase of global shipping
The amount of global shipping in Bangladesh will increase more in the future as the
retailers in Bangladesh have a limited stock of goods. As a result, People will be ordering
more products via international e-commerce platforms. For example- International e-
commerce sites like Aliexpress, Shadmart, and Amazon are already very popular in
Bangladesh.
As indicated by market analysts, this growing market will not only improve the economic
structure of Bangladesh but also bring changes in e-commerce technology, infrastructures,
lifestyle and service industry.
6. Q.3:
3. Give some Short notes on
a. Hackers vs. crackers b. Security challenges c. Different types of computer
crimes:
a)
Hacker vs Cracker:
Hacker Cracker
A hacker is a person intensely interested in
the arcane and recondite workings of any
computer operating system. Hackers are most
often programmers. As such, hackers obtain
advanced knowledge of operating systems
and programming languages. They might
discover holes within systems and the reasons
for such holes. Hackers constantly seek
further knowledge, freely share what they
have discovered, and never intentionally
damage data.
A cracker is someone who breaks into
someone else's computer system, often on a
network; bypasses passwords or licenses in
computer programs; or in other ways
intentionally breaches computer security. A
cracker can be doing this for profit,
maliciously, for some altruistic purpose or
cause, or because the challenge is there.
Some breaking-and-entering has been done
ostensibly to point out weaknesses in a site's
security system.
b)
Cyber Security Challenges in today’s time:
1) Advanced Persistent Threats
The advanced persistent threats are those threats that go the stealthy
way around to penetrate systems and servers and stays there for a
longer time without getting noticed/detected by anybody.
7. 2) Evolution of Ransomware
The last few years have seen a widespread rise in Ransomware attacks.
Ransomware can also be classified as one type of APT attacks where a
malware penetrates inside your system, and as the days pass, it starts to
encrypt all of your files slowly.
Finally, all the files on one’s system get locked and a ransom is being
demanded usually in the form of bitcoin (Because it is hard to track it
down).
They are designed specially to mine highly sensitive information and
these days many organizations fail to protect themselves from advanced
persistent threat attacks.
3) IoT Threats (Attacks through compromised IOT devices)
IoT stands for the internet of things. The IoT is a system of interrelated
computing, digital, mechanical devices that can transmit data over a
network without the need of any human to human and human to
computer intervention.
8. All of these IoT devices have a unique identifier that identifies the device
through a unique code. In today’s world, every digital device that we use
can be connected with a network and yes it is happening in almost all
the parts of the globe.
4) Cloud Security
There is fear is and many organizations are not willing to put their data
on the cloud and they want to be reserved for a time unless it is ensured
that cloud is a highly secure place and it matches with on-premise
security standards.
The main reason is, big organizations have their own Data centers and
they have a full control over it, the data is located at their sites and their
network(i.e. the internal network), while in case of cloud, the data no
longer stands at company’s own Data centers and also the network
becomes external which poses a risk.
5) Attacks on Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain
Adopted Technologies
9. It’s not so long that technologies like cryptocurrencies and blockchains
have started to being implemented.
As these technologies just have crossed their infancy level and there lies
a great path for their evolution, so adopting these technologies by
companies but not implementing the appropriate security controls is a
big threat, in the first place, they might not be aware of the gap itself.
6) Attacks Designed with the help AI and Machine Learning
No doubt the big data from all over the world is being fed to AI systems for
various purposes, and it helps us to make our decisions. While this is a good
side of it, there can be a bad side as well. Hackers can also use AI and Machine
Learning to design innovative solutions for performing out more sophisticated
attacks.
C)
Different types of Computer Crimes:
There are many types of cyber crimes occursin cyber world
,some common attack /crimes are listed bellow-
