  4. 4. Introduction “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” is the 2013 Indian biographical sport drama film based on the life of “The Flying Sikh” Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete, who was national champion runner. The role was played by Farhan Akhtar. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is the 3rd highest grossing bollywood film of 2013 in India.

Motivation can make a huge impact • When Milkha joins the Indian Military, he is like anyone else who physically endures the hardships to fight for the nation. • He had no goal or purpose till the time he heard about the race. • The motivational force was that the winner would get two eggs and milk. • In between the race, Milkha got tired and left the hope of winning. • Then he realized about the results and came in the top ten
  7. 7. Psychological Preparation  Milkha Singh was mentally prepared to achieve his target. Thus he devoted his mind and body and soul towards his goal.  He knew that he would be all alone in this decision of life. He would be away from his near and dear ones.  This did not stop him because his mentors prepared him psychologically.

Conclusion • A film, a biography of the legendary Milkha Singh; we have a lot to learn from the man’s life. • This movie is perfect as today’s generation needs to go out and find time for old sports rather than sitting at home with video games. • Sports not only makes you physically fit but also prepares you for dealing with challenges, hardships in life and having a goal.
