  • I had to take this research class in senior year and I’m going to be honest with you, senioritis hit me hard. Literature Review According to Mr. Malik Tariq the context of Pakistan (Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad,2009) He worked on ‘IMPACTS OF FOOD PRODUCT ADVERTISEMENTS OF PAKISTAN TELEVISION ON THE EATING HABITS OF CHILDREN’ This study investigates childrens viewing habits of Pakistan Television to find out the impacts of food-products advertising on childrens health. 40% parents agree that PTVs ads affected the health of their children. Results show that 23% children watch television up to 3 hours and 30% were watched television up to 4 hours a day The results also show that (30%) of children respondents watches PTV for more than four hours daily. The study evidences that majority of children respondents are influenced by the T.V advertisements

Content of American television, the National Television Violence Study Federman, 1996, 1997, 1998) rigorously examined more than 10,000 hours of programming across a variety of channels, cable and noncable, at all hours of the day in three consecutive years from 1994–1997. There wassurprising consistency of the data from year to year, with analarming amount of violence present. It was estimated that young people view 10,000 acts of violence per year, with 61% of shows containing violence of some kind. (November 20, 2000.   6. 6. MethodologyWe are using questionnaire in order to collect datafor our research. Questionnaire will comprise of 20– 25 questions and will be of closed end form. Oursample size will be of 35-40. For data collection wewill choose collective administration where wecan obtain captive audience.The reason For selecting collective administrationis that as we are student it will be convenient for usand it will also save our time

Expected result According to the above mentioned literature reviews relating to our topic shows negative impact of media on children now we will find out through our research that what it will concluded whether negative or positive impact of media in our region.. We need to find ways to optimize the role of media in our society.
