  3. 3. Type 0 <ul><li>Üldine tõde </li></ul><ul><li>Kasutatakse, kui tahetakse väljendada midagi,mis alati toimub (nt:loodusjõud) </li></ul><ul><li>If clause – verb on Present simple </li></ul><ul><li>Main clause – verb on Present simple </li></ul>

Type 1 <ul><li>Reaalne tingimus olevikus </li></ul><ul><li>Kasutatakse, et väljendada reaalset või võimalikku olukorda olevikus või tulevikus. </li></ul><ul><li>If clause – verb on Present Simple/ present cont./ present perfect/ present perfect cont. </li></ul><ul><li>Main clause - verb Future/ imperative can/ may/ might/ must/ should/ could + present bare infinitive </li></ul>

Type 2 <ul><li>Ebareaalne tingimus olevikus </li></ul><ul><li>Kasutatakse, et väljendada oletust või mis juhtuks, kui tingimus täidetakse. </li></ul><ul><li>Kasutatakse ka nõu andmiseks. </li></ul><ul><li>If clause – past simple/ past cont. </li></ul><ul><li>Main clause – would/ could/ might+ present bare infinitive. </li></ul>

Type 3 <ul><li>Ebareaalne tingimus olevikus </li></ul><ul><li>Kui minevikus oleks mingi tingimus täidetud, siis oleks mingi sündmus, juhtum jne, toimunud. </li></ul><ul><li>Kasutatakse ka, et väljendada kahetsust ja kriitikat </li></ul><ul><li>If clause – past perfect/ past perfect continuous </li></ul><ul><li>Main clause – would /could/might + perfcet bare infinitive </li></ul>

Mixed conditionals <ul><li>If – clause Main - clause </li></ul><ul><li> Type 2 - Type 1 </li></ul><ul><li>If she got back late she won’t come last night, to work today </li></ul><ul><li>Type 2 - Type 3 </li></ul><ul><li>If you were more you wouldn’t have spoken sensible, to your boss like that. </li></ul><ul><li> Type 3 - Type 2 </li></ul><ul><li>If she hadn’t missed she would be here now. the bus, </li></ul>
  12. 12. Past --> Present I had taken an aspirin, I wouldn't have a headache now. Past --> Future If I had known that you are going to come by tomorrow, I would be in then. Present --> Past If she had enough money, she could have done this trip to Hawaii.
  13. 13. <ul><li>Present --> Future </li></ul><ul><li>If I were you, I would be spending my vacation in Seattle. Future --> Past </li></ul><ul><li>If I weren't flying to Detroit, I would have planned a trip to Vancouver. Future --> Present </li></ul><ul><li>If I were taking this exam next week, I would be high-strung. </li></ul>

If and When <ul><li>If Tom comes, he will bring me a present. </li></ul><ul><li>Juhul, kui Tom tuleb, toob ta mulle kingituse. </li></ul><ul><li>When Tom comes, he will bring me a present. </li></ul><ul><li>Siis, kui Tom tuleb, toob ta mulle kingituse. </li></ul><ul><li>Esimeses lauses pole kindel, kas Tom tuleb. Teises lauses on kindel, aga ei tea, millal ta tuleb. </li></ul>
