OBJECTIVE:
• Hosting a Sun International Golf Day that will focus on
attracting the black and established consumers to Sun City.
• Invite all Sun International Gaming and Resorts to join us in
hosting a “Shawu Exec Challenge”
•The Bafokeng King to be invited as guest of honor and play
with Kurt Peter as the Patron.
WHO WILL BE INVOLVED
•Sun City will be the main sponsor of the event.
•Other SI units will be invited to host and sponsor all the Golf
Course holes.
•The Sponsors will use flags and table layout with each unit’s
theme and also SI magazine to be displayed.
•The players invite list will be drawn from the Head Office
database . This will include 36 players from the units, 48 from
Head office (should also include members from
predominantly black executive clubs such as Ambassadors,
Africa Golf, Explorers, Masters, etc…and a 4 ball from
upcoming local black golfers from North West.
The following units have been considered to sponsor
the event:
WHEN IS THE GOLF DAY?
• Friday, the 6th November 2009.
• Most Golfers will be expected to drive to Sun City in
the morning, play golf and stay overnight.
• Those traveling from long distances will be contacted
and accommodated from the 5th November 09
• All golfers will be expected to stay over and attend the
prize giving function on the evening of the 6th Nov. 09
and check out on the 7th November 09.
•We are hoping that they might stay the night 07th
Nov 09
SPOUSES ACTIVITIES
• Spa treatment for the spouses x 42 pax
(Sponsored by GPCC)
• Game drive for 42 the spouses 9 (To be sponsored by
Game trackers)
• Butterfly Tour at the Cultural Village for spouses – 42 pax
(to be sponsored by Caltural Village)
• Note: The pax numbers are estimates.
REQUIREMENT & COSTING (1)
The estimated cost is between R400 000.00 and R450
000.00, to be sponsored by each SI unit contributing R
25 000 for each hole.
This will include:
Accommodation - B&B for all golfers 32 rooms on the
6th Nov 09 and 84 rooms on the 6th Nov. 09.
Golf shirts for all players and their spouses with the
new SI logo and Shaw Exec Challenge branding as well
as the main sponsors’ logo.

Tickets raffles to the value of R20 000.00:
•Players will be buying tickets for R300.00 each and stand
a chance to win a trip to Victoria Falls. The money that
will be fund raised will be given to the local charities
(Tapologo, Mamokwena HIV & AIDS Hospice...) and local
caddies development.
•Payment to be made at the golf
registration desk.
•The info regarding the raffles
procedure will be included in the
invite letter.
REQUIREMENT & COSTING (2)
• Golf caps for all players.
• Shawu Exec Challenge branded leather bags to be
handed to all invited players on arrivals.
• Spouses to get a small branded lipstick holder.
• The cost of dinner - prize giving function
at the Baobab Room on the evening of
the 6th November 2009.

SPONSORS
Motsweding FM or North West FM: The broadcaster will talk
about the event (not advertise it) and possibly participate in the
sponsorship of the SI Golf Day. (Still under discussions)
BMW and/or Mercedes Benz: Possibility of inviting them to
exhibit some of their latest cars on complex or near the Golf
Course and then participate in the Golf Challenge sponsorship.

BMW Group is keen to display its
latest top of the range models and
also provide transport for the players
from the Hotel to the GPCC for the
day.
