UNIVERSITY OF DAR ES SALAAM17 OPEN ACCESS IN TANZANIA EIFL in collaboration with COTUL(Consortium for Tanzania Universities and Research Libraries) has been supporting Tanzanian University in: Building in-country capacity to develop OA repositories and OA journals; Setting up institutional OA repositories; Building OA policy development capacity and setting up policy development task forces; Developing and drafting OA policies; Auditing and improving OA institutional repositories; and Organizing OA advocacy meetings and campaigns.

UNIVERSITY OF DAR ES SALAAM18 ACHIEVEMENTS UDSM being a member has achieved the following: Establishment of Institutional Repositories with more than 4000 items Open Access draft Policy(expected to be endorsed by the end of this year) Training program(open data, open science, open access) to younger researchers(PhD students)
