A cesium atomic clock powered by optical technology
Overview
High-level technical specification
• An optically pumped cesium beam clock
• Benefits:
• No magnetic selection; optical preparation of atoms instead of magnetic
deflection-based
• Ability to measure 100 times more atoms
• 5 times greater clock stability
• Longer lifetime:
• Significantly higher efficiency in the utilization of cesium atoms
• Twice the lifetime of a magnetic cesium clock
• Optimized for both lifetime and performance

• Testing was conducted from November 22, 2022, to April 10, 2023
• The testing period spanned over 70 days
• A standard production unit of the OSA 3300-HP was tested
• Two use cases were tested:
• Free-running clock for metrology use case
• SePRC clock for PNT holdover use case
• The testing demonstrated results that significantly surpassed the specifications
outlined in our data sheet
• The test results in the next two slides include TIE, MTIE TDEV and ADEV
