Import Permission  According to the Imported Game, Meat and Poultry Regulations (Cap. 132AK, no person shall import game (including horse flesh) without prior approval from Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD)  The maximum penalty is a fine of $50,000 and imprisonment for 6 months 2
  3. 3. Health Certificate  Imported horse flesh must be accompanied with a health certificate issued by a competent authority. It should certify, among others, that the meat is fit for human consumption 3
  4. 4. Sale of Horse Meat  According to the Food Business Regulation (Cap. 132X), no person shall sell game (including horse flesh) without permission from FEHD  In the course of any food business, the sale of horse flesh shall be clearly labelled in English and Chinese 4
