MY PRESENTATION ON SOLAR APPROACHED SMART HIGHWAY WHICH WE PRESENTED AND WON 2ND PRIZE IN STATE LEVEL TECHNICAL PAPER PRESENTATION COMPETITION AT A.R.KALSEKAR POLYTECHNIC PANVEL WITH A CASH PRIZE OF RS2500
High Voltage Engineering- OVER VOLTAGES IN ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS
Solar approach smart highway
1.
2. System which have high renewability.
System which is used for electric cars.
System which produces electricity using for various
applications in various fields.
Good strength & appearance.
5. Renewability.
Life span.
More strength.
Road illumination.
Safer driving conditions.
6. 1st solar road is in Amsterdam.
Intelligent highways.
Zebra crossings.
Notations.
Walkways.
Jogging paths
7. It took 6 months to make road of 2.28 km in 2014.
It can produce 3,000 kilowatt-hour of energy per year.
It can produce 70 kwh per sq.m.
5,50,000 cyclists have ridden over the road.
Every examination of road will done after every 2 years.
8. 46,89,842 Km in 2013.
1.7% state & national highways.
Needs 991TWh of electricity.
These highways can produce 450TWh electricity.
-by survey of Times of India (TOI) in 2013.
9. Change in layout according to Indian thinking,
working type & working attitude.
Input layout is fitted at the sides of road.
Output layout is fitted all over the road like
normal layout.
It will avoid the harm of solar input components.
10. On the go charging.
Snow or ice management.
13. High initial cost.
Seasonal efficiency.
Needs a town planning.
High maintenance cost.
14. Less pollution.
Less global warming.
No more dependency on foreign oil.
Safer driving conditions.
Reduces maintenance & rework of roads.
