Hi everyone I am sun. I am like the
heart of the solar system. I am made
up of extremely hot gases. I am the
ultimate source of heat and light for
the planets.

Mercury
I am the smallest planet in our solar
system.
I'm just a little bigger than Earth’s
moon.
I am the closest planet to the sun,
but actually not the hottest.
Venus is hotter

Venus
Hi everyone, I am Venus, I am the
second nearest planet from the sun.
I am closer to Earth than to the Moon.
As I am nearest to the sun I am only
seen in the hours near sunrise or
sunset.
I am also called Earth’s twin as I am
very much similar to Earth in size and
shape.

Earth
I am your home planet Earth, a
rocky, terrestrial planet.
I have a solid and active surface with
mountains, valleys, canyons, plains
and so much more.
I am special because i am an ocean
planet. Water covers 70% of my
surface.

I am the forth nearest planet from
the sun.
I am sometimes called the red planet
because of rusty iron in the ground.
Like earth, I have season, polar ice
caps, volcanoes and weather.
I have a very thin atmosphere made
up of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and
argon.
I am named after the Roman God of
War

Jupiter
I am the largest planet in the solar
system; bigger than all the other
planets put together.
I am the fifth planet from the Sun.
I am so huge that I contain more
than 1,000 Earths.
I am a kind of planet called a gas
giant, consisting almost entirely of
gases, mainly hydrogen and helium.

Saturn
l am not the only planet to have
rings, but definitely has the most
beautiful ones.
The rings you see are made of
groups of tiny ringlets that surround
Saturn.
They’re made of chunks of ice and
rock.
Like Jupiter, I'm mostly a ball of
hydrogen and helium.

Uranus
l am made of water, methane, and
ammonia fluids above a small rocky
centre.
My atmosphere is made of hydrogen
and helium like Jupiter and Saturn,
but also has methane.
The methane makes me blue.

Neptune
l am dark, cold, and very windy, the last of
the planets in our solar system.
I am more than 30 times as far from the sun
than earth .I am very similar to Uranus, made
of a thick fog of water, ammonia, and
methane over an Earth-sized solid centre.
My atmosphere is made of hydrogen,
helium, and methane. The methane gives me
the same blue colour as Uranus.
I have six rings, but they're very hard to see.
