1901-1914 Australia
1. My name nunga. I was born in 1887 in a small settlement near Perth in Australia. Back then we aborigines were considered different. In other words, we all had a hard life. And this is how mine starts.
2. In 1900 I was at the age of 3 I was living with my father, and three of my brothers. Mum past away a while after from diarrhea (This was a common death in our settlement). It was a real shock to me once father told me the truth.
3. Dad Said that the day Australia becomes a federation would come and it has come. Me and my family traveled weeks and weeks so that we could actually be there and witness this disgrace. But we also new that if we were seen we were in big trouble, so we had a plan to get in. it was pretty simple but it worked after all. Their were men with great weapons that we had never seen before and hoping not to get into trouble with them, so we avoided them as much as possible. What they call a celebration was finished, so the men are returning home which is down the road from were we where sneaking in.
4. We then darted off running for our lives and one of the soldiers spotted us and chased us for one and a half hours with reinforcements racing behind him. Dad couldn’t even move a finger, that is how tiered we were. Dad suddenly dropped, we all turned to help him get away now running for three hours with dad that needed a lot of assistance.
5. Exploring through the forest knowing that we were far ahead of the men. Dad told us to hide and rest while he finds some food. One hour later, already midnight dad returned with some food he had found, berries and some meat. Suddenly out of no were the men with weapons appeared and saw dad while he said to us to stay down. (that was the last I saw him)
6. Me and my brothers fighting to survive decided this was the end and to go our own way. We thought of this because it was the only way we were going to survive. I then decided to go into the city and raise hard earned money as a domestic slave. In 1909 at the age of 12 somebody named Edmond count bought me as a slave for 1 shilling an hour. He lived in a massive house, but back then of cause I didn’t know what the thing was. Back to the story I severed this man for 6 years, yet earning the same money and also he said thanks not once to me and when I left he actually said to me “good get out”.
7. In 1911 I suffered an illness similar to the way my mother died, diarrhea. Because of the way I looked and was different to everyone else I was considered bad luck if I was to be treated with. For two long years I was on the streets and suffering from my illness.
8. One day this man dressed finely & neat approached me and said “hey mate you need a hand or something”. I was so shocked that this man actually offered to help me (On top of that he was a doctor). Two weeks later he checked me out and gave some medicine that would help me.
9. I then decided to travel back to my home town near Perth, so I could settle down and try to live a life.
10. In 1930 I found the most beautiful women in the world. 1931 I then got married and had a great family with 5 children 2 boys, 2 girls and one on the way.
