design, which makes this type of furnace very versatile and trouble-free. These units are built
with a heavy gage steel shell and low watt density heating elements along with lightweight
ceramic fibre insulation making these furnaces and ovens suitable for any laboratory or
industrial application.
It is CE certified box furnace designed for material synthesis under hydrogen atmosphere up
to 1650 0C. The furnace consists of high quality alumina fibber brick and Mo alloy heating
elements with heated chamber of 8"x 8"x12", as well as vacuum sealed steel case with water
cooling jacket and automatic H2 burning system. It is an ideal tool for preparing new
materials which require reduced atmosphere, such as phosphor and Ti alloy.
Furnace structure is made up of double layer steel structure with N2 sealed jacket for
maximum safety. It has Water cooling front door and air cooling shell with built in Pressure
gauge, vacuum valves and two gas flow meters. Built in H2 burning control system--- if the
controller detects no flame in burner, gas delivery valve will be shutdown automatically.

for atmosphere control, heated doors, quench tanks, automation, standard controls and PLC
controls, just to mention a few. An atmosphere control system is recommended for greater
safety and convenience in control when hydrogen gas is required for processing. The control
system is suitable for use with a box furnace and atmosphere retort or a gas tight tube installed
in tube furnaces.
A digital temperature indicator can be built into the furnace's control panel and wired to a panel
mounted thermocouple socket. The display is also available in a separate, stand alone
cabinet, so it can be used as a portable temperature checker. An additional thermocouple
ceramic sheath is installed adjacent to the control thermocouple. This additional port allows
for the insertion of a second reference thermocouple for checking or calibration of the existing
controller/thermocouple system.
A standard control system senses the temperature close to the heating elements, while the
temperature of the load is usually at a temperature slightly lower than this measurement. In an
effort to overcome this fact while brining the furnace up to temperature, a second controller
can be added. With the addition of this second controller, a faster warm up is achieved by
boosting the element temperature when the load is cold and by reducing it as the load
approaches the desired temperature.
Both Chart and Data Acquisition Recorders in single or multiple channels options are
provided. Assorted optional features are available with all recorders including software to
allow a user to review data off-line or via a remote computer. Recorders can be provided with
calibration certificates.
