BUDGET
Gross Profit World Wide
Most of the “Men
In Black 3”
production and
distribution
companies I knew
and recognised.
This shows that
MIB3 were trying
to use the best
industries to sell
their film.
I only knew one of the
distribution companies which
was “Lions Gate”. The other
companies I had never heard of.
This shows that the films
budget couldn’t afford to have
the best producers and
distributions.
Most of MIB3 movie
industries used are very
popular, well known and the
best at what they do.
Most of Open Water’s movie
industries aren't that popular
except “Lionsgate”. The rest are
low budget movie industries.
Most of Open Water’s movie
industries aren't connected to
any of the big 6. The only one
which is connected is “Lionsgate”.
“Lionsgate” is owned by
“Universal Studio’s” which is one
of the big 6 companies
Most of MIB3 movie
industries are owned by
“Sony”. Sony is one of the
big 6 studios. The big 6
studios own up to 90% of
the media.
The reason these films
were so successful is
because they were
really hyped up due to
lots of advertisement
on TV and Social
Media.
These films aren’t as
well advertised as
“Colombia”. That’s the
reason why 2 of these
films didn’t do as well as
they could have because
they weren’t advertised
much. But “The Hunger
Games” did really well
because it was well
advertised.
Majority of movies involved
with “Colombia” are action
movies. This shows that
“Colombia” are good and
producing and distrusting
action movies.
Majority of movies
associated to
“Lionsgate” are Horror.
This shows that
“Lionsgate” is good at
producing and
distributing Horror films.
Both “Colombia” and Lionsgate” aim there films at
men and women aged between 15-30. Age 15-25 is
the age group in which they rake in the most money
from, but 26-30 years still go quite often. So when
these companies think about making a film they
have to think if their target audience will like it or
not. They can’t aim a film at 70 year old men and
women because no one would really go see it
because that age group doesn’t go to the cinema.
