  14. 14. Aitoc8. Backing up and restoring custom options Doing a “Backup data to file” generates a file with the .bak extension for download. At the same time, the operation automatically synchronizes your data with the reserve data in your database. Although your live data is automatically backed up to reserve tables, we recommend doing “Backup to file” from time to time. Catalog > Custom Options Templates > Options Backup and Restore
  15. 15. Aitoc8. Backing up and restoring custom options The extension creates reserve tables in your database where your custom options and templates (created with the extension) are automatically backed up each time you save a state in the extension. This method of restoring data is the fastest and would be the first to consider. If you are moving to another Magento, you can restore your custom options and templates from a backup file. Besides, you can use this option in case of a data loss, but it is recommeded to try restoring it from reserve tables first. Catalog > Custom Options Templates > Options Backup and Restore
  16. 16. Aitoc8. Backing up and restoring custom options Important: if you use Custom Options Templates V2.1.1 or lower and are upgrading to V3.0 or higher, create a backup right after finishing the installation. When you click “Backup data to file”, you should get a warning that the data might have been damaged. Disregard this and click “OK”. After the backup is complete, use the extention as normal. Catalog > Custom Options Templates > Options Backup and Restore
