What Data Should be Collected? <ul><li>Size of current chapters vs. total </li></ul><ul><li>Recruitment trends and stats for past 5 years </li></ul><ul><li>Institutional growth projections </li></ul><ul><li>Interest in your Greek system </li></ul><ul><li>Potential obstacles (administration, housing, etc.) </li></ul><ul><li>Current chapter sizes manageable? </li></ul><ul><li>Will the addition of a new group enhance the CPH/campus? </li></ul>

What Does the Data Tell You? <ul><li>If no, what can we do to boost our current system? </li></ul><ul><li>Review of total </li></ul><ul><li>Develop/revise CPH marketing plan (image, messaging, target audience) </li></ul><ul><li>Does current recruitment style/system work? </li></ul><ul><li>If yes, begin the NPC extension process </li></ul>

Extension Motion <ul><li>Delegates take motion back to their chapter for discussion and vote </li></ul><ul><li>Include/update your local chapter advisors & NPC Delegates/HQ personnel on discussions </li></ul><ul><li>Delegates bring vote of their group back to PH at a subsequent meeting </li></ul><ul><li>Voting is one vote per NPC member group </li></ul>

Vote is YES – Now What? <ul><li>Contact the NPC Extension Chairman – need copy of meeting minutes with the vote indicated </li></ul><ul><li>Determine how you will advertise/announce your extension opening </li></ul><ul><li>Inactive/dormant chapter consideration and/or if there is a recolonization agreement on file </li></ul>

Panhellenic Extension Responsibilities <ul><li>Determine the main institutional contact </li></ul><ul><li>Determine a timeline for the process </li></ul><ul><li>Select the Extension Committee – makeup </li></ul><ul><li>Determine criteria/qualities you want in a new group – use that as basis for evaluation </li></ul><ul><li>Will you allow Exploratory Visits? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>No student contact during these visits </li></ul></ul>
