  • New construction = great sign of economy strength
  • Do these include all programs and not just DNV ?
  • They look to us as their “trusted energy advisor”
  • Great example is a local University. Upon hearing a presentation, they wanted to hear about data centers and RCx. They had just started data center upgrades and had tracked a year over year increase in building energy usage that they wanted to reduce and control.
  • AEP Ohio has Outreach Professionals, Program Managers, Energy Engineers, Customer Account representatives that are available as Trusted Energy Advisors.
  • We are taking volunteers from SP’s who may have a series of applications to input for a soft start
  • So if you have any projects that you’ll be ready to input please get with one of us and we’ll walk through it together
  • A large piece of manufacturing are VFD’s under 200hp and metal halide to fluorescent lighting retrofits.
    2012 schools was about 10%
  • Strong participation from Industrial Manufacturing customers
Paid over 3.4 million in custom incentives to this segment through capital projects
  • Green Motor Rewind
  • Large portion of education is OSFC projects with K12, we feel there is much more opportunity with colleges & universities than we are seeing
  • Over half of participation came from server rooms
  • Only extremely active RSPs will be included in AEP Ohio speaking engagements. Qualified will be listed on the website. Inactive will not be listed.
  • If you have a customer that may qualify for this program and they’re looking for capital money to do your project, this is a perfect opportunity for you to be the “hero”.
Some companies have built an entire business around chasing these projects and being the “hero”
  • Projects have longer completion times and most are expected to finish in 2014. RFQ procedures are on the website.
In addition, projects that will be completed beyond 2014 are eligible. AEP Ohio will submit a special arrangement agreement to the PUCO to approve these types of energy efficiency projects.
  • The Bid to Win program awarded over $2 million dollars to 4 participants in the October auction. These two customers and two Solution Providers are expected to achieve more than 45 GWh in energy savings.
  • We’re not 100% sure that Ohio is ready for this, the case studies and projects will determine whether we have a pilot and move forward this year with the expo
  • “The Community Energy Savers pilot helps communities bring the benefits of energy efficiency to more of their residents and businesses by encouraging participation.”

  • Installation of free energy-saving items such as compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, and light emitting diode (LED) night light.
Installation of a high-efficiency showerhead, faucet aerators, and pipe insulation for homes with electric water heaters.
Get a personalized report with suggested energy-saving improvements and information about rebates from AEP Ohio.
  • If you participated in the 2013 rewards program, someone from your company should have received a print out sheet at registration of your companies project names and payments for 2013.
  • If you participated in the bonus program for RCx please gather your summary – It is very important to submit your project prior to 60 days
  • It’s hard equate half a penny into real dollars so here are some examples of payments using the speedy submission vs. slow admission
  • We now have one Diamond SP above 20 GWh
