Why a CSISA--AASAlignment?
Because we need to reform!
Cannot do the same oldsame old or business as usual anymore
Need to adjust to the way the farmerthinks of his/her farming system—nota commodity monolith but a system
Not just fish alone, but an aquaagricultural system
It ain’t just the fish, but the peoplebehind the fish that matters
It is not just training what weknow, but training what THEYwant/need
Yes we know aquaculture is atransformative technology thatrapidly brings people out ofpoverty, but….
It is also about the empowerment ofboth men and women in agriculture
And it is also aboutnutrition, vegetables and wholefamily health
