A governmental foundation has been set up to support implementation of new technology in healthcare – at their disposal is 3 mia. DKK – around 400 mill €, which is to be used between 2009 and 2013. Similar foundations or support funds is available in other European member states and from EU. The aim is twofold: * Enforce development of new technologies in order to work more efficient and create a better quality in treatment. * Develop technological solutions, who can help patients to stay at home and thereby reduce the need for hospitalizations.
