    3. 3. How it Works<br />How does it work?<br />Customers Pay With Their Code<br />They scan their code. (phone/card)<br />Takes about 1/10 of a second.<br />You Enter The Final Amount <br />Right on the LevelUp Terminal<br />Hit submit. It’ll ask for confirmation.<br />And we’re done.<br />They get an instant digital receipt.<br />You’ll see a confirmation on screen.<br />

    5. 5. How it Works: Register<br />How to pay with LevelUp at a Cash Register(Think counter service, retail, coffee shops, etc.)<br />

How it Works: Register<br />Step 1: Scan Code<br />Customer scans their code at the LevelUp Dock.<br />You’ll hear the LevelUp tone (bee-dee-boop) and see a prompt to enter an amount when it’s gone through.<br />It’s always actively scanning, so you don’t have to hit any buttons.<br />They just need to face the code towards the camera and hold still for ~1 second.<br />You can verbally instruct customer to reorient their code, but please never touch a customers phone.<br />
    7. 7. How it Works: Register<br />Step 2: Enter Amount<br />You’ll see a prompt to enter total sale price.<br />Enter in the final sale price. Include tax. Subtract any promos you’re running.<br />Remember, it’s just a like a credit card, so what you’d want to put on their credit card, charge them here.<br />Then hit submit! You’ll get asked for a final confirmation.<br />You also get some cool info about who the customer is, including their name and number of visits. <br />Pro-tip: Say Thanks “Steve!”<br />
    8. 8. How it Works: Register<br />Step 3: You’re Done!<br />You’re done! You’ll see a confirmation on the screen.<br />If they’re tipping through LevelUp, you’ll see the tip amount right here. Otherwise, they’ll just tip with cash like normal.<br />Close out the sale in your POS by hitting the “LevelUp” button.<br />You can now hit “Take Me Home” to go back to the scanning screen.<br />Consumer will get an e-mail receipt. If they are using a phone they may get a push notification. (If they are using their code on a sheet of paper or card – just the e-mail.)<br />

Enter in the final sale price in the LevelUp Terminal<br />4. Close out sale in your POS with the LevelUp button<br />Pro-tip: Use the customer’s name.     11. 11. How it Works: Table<br />How will I know they want to pay with LevelUp?<br />1. The customer will tell you they want to pay with LevelUp.<br />2. They’ll use the universal “I’m ready to pay with LevelUp” signal which is to leave their phone on top of the check presenter.<br />=<br />
    12. 12. How it Works: Table<br />Step 1: Scan Code<br />Bring a LevelUp Terminal (not in the dock, of course) to their table.<br />Ask them to show their code on their phone. Simply opening the app will display their code.<br />You’re welcome to help them along verbally, but please never touch a customers phone.<br />Position your LevelUp device so that their code is aligned in the center of your screen.<br />It’s always actively scanning, so you don’t have to hit any buttons.<br />You’ll hear the LevelUp tone (bee-dee-boop) and see a prompt to enter an amount when it’s gone through.<br />

    21. 21. What Else?<br />Last Few Things<br /><ul><li>No Password Needed Ever: If you ever get asked to enter a pin or password, you’re in the wrong place. Hit the physical home button on the phone. Then re-open the LevelUp Merchant app.
    22. 22. Keep It On / Scanning: There is no need to turn the phone off.
    23. 23. Phone Sleeping?: If the phone is sleeping, just tap the power button at the top and slide the icon on the screen to unlock.
    24. 24. Phone Off?: If the phone is off, hold the power button at the top for three seconds to turn it on.
    25. 25. ABC = Always Be Charging: Make sure the LevelUp terminal is always fully charged and always plugged in and charging!
    26. 26. Codes On Paper: Sometimes you might see people bring their codes in on cards or on a sheet of paper. Scan it. If it works, it’s legit!
    27. 27. The Main Code Works: Customers don’t need to click on a specific place and hit pay now to pay. The main code works. Say “LevelUp is our high-tech loyalty program. Check it out!” and then hand them a card.

    29. 29. Make Customers Comfortable: LevelUp is really cool and high-tech, but it’s also very new. So help customers out. Invite them to pay with LevelUp. Make them feel comfortable.

Use It Yourself: Sign up for LevelUp yourself cause a) it’s awesome and b) to learn what the consumers will see.</li></li></ul><li>What Else?<br />Promotional Collateral<br />We’re here to help you promote. Here’s what you’ve got and what it’s for.<br /><ul><li>Hand-Out Cards: Use these to kick-start your loyalty program. Hand them to customers and say “Join our high-tech loyalty program!”
