Tech4102 course Blogging On Line (Journaling) Purpose : This instrument is designed to be used as a rubric for evaluating the student performance in any blog-based journal . Instructors should track students’ progress or maintain a record over time by following these criteria: Statements 1 Completeness of entries 2 depth of writing 3 Evidence of critical analysis in the stating of speculations and predictions; 4 Evidence of developing self-awareness and self-reflection relating to learning 5 Capacity to demonstrate connections between personal experience and new knowledge in the discipline 6 Revealing deep understanding 7 Learner is responsive to feedback from others 8 Revealing considerable thought over a period of time 9 level of reflection 10 Demonstrating an awareness of the context and make comments 11 evidence of a personal response to the issues 12 demonstrating new ways of reflecting 13 demonstrating a range of meta-cognitive practices and provides many examples 14 clearly expressing arguments, opinions and responses in his or her writing 15 Revealing personality as well as thought 16 Number of pages /updates 17 describing own literacy skills, strategies, processes or areas of growth 18 Postings demonstrate use of upper level thinking (analysis, synthesis, evaluation) and illustrate a thoughtful approach to the content
